Hello all, loooooooooong time lurker first time poster signing in.

I decided to post up my movie Stunticon designs here, where they could get some appreciation.

The Genesis of my movie Stunticons: With resources and able fighters dwindling, the Decepticons forces spread through space were forced to resort to desperate measures in order to add 'new' soldiers to their ranks. The 'Con surgeon Flatline believed it was possible to solve this problem by forcefully converting Autobot prisoners through 're-programing'. He argued this strategy was win win as it would add to their ranks while draining the Autobot's.

After his superiors gave him the go a head he procured his first test subjects, five young ground force Autobots. Given their relatively young age Flatline theorised the process would be easier and result in fewer complications. He erased all their previous memories and subjected them too his experimental re-programing. The procedure proved to be far more difficult that Flatline predicted however, and in order to save time he was forced to use Gestalt programming to filter the 'con program through all five subjects. After that it was just a matter of adding the necessary components to their bodies in order for them to combine successfully and the Decepticon's now had a new Combiner strike force at their disposal.

Flatline's success was short-lived however. Upon re activation it was instantly apparent that the new 'Cons were incredibly unstable, and while they did in fact now identify themselves as Decepticons, they were virtually uncontrollable. The re-programing had left them fractured, with their personalities now manifesting previously minor quirks so extreme as to be debilitating or outright dangerous.

The new creations quickly thanked Flatline for his efforts, the one identifying himself as Motormaster throwing him through a wall before ordering the others to destroy the lab. As he lay in his burning lab Flatline was quite pleased with what he managed to achieve, resolute that his new procedure would need just a little tweaking.

The new 'cons were quickly labeled the Stunticons because of their insane, death defying driving. The individual members have been identified as Dead End, Wildrider, Motormaster, Drag Strip and Breakdown. This group of outcasts travelled from planet to planet leaving a trail of destruction for both factions in their wake, what they were looking for is anyones guess. Their current whereabouts are unknown.

    Character Profiles

Breakdown: Incredibly clever, astute, yet cursed with acute paranoia/agoraphobia and dyslexia this beleaguered 'Con is, of course, the Stunticons' scout. His hyper awareness is both a gift and a curse. Nothing escapes Breakdown, from micro expressions that betray a mech is lying to a single shell casing lying in the middle of a scorched battle field. The Stunticons have managed to escape more than one plot to finish them largely thanks to Breakdown figuring out the enemies intentions even before they themselves have. Unfortunately this gift often betrays him by creating threats that don't always exists. Combined with Breakdown's natural fear that other 'Con's will discover his 'flaws' the poor Stunticon is often found in a shadowed corner a nervous wreak.
Breakdown's combat style would be most closely likened to that of earth ninja. Breakdown's paranoia and fear of been watched means he prefers to strike form the shadows. He is a stealth soldier stalking his pray like a wild animal or lying in wait, pouncing with a terrifying scream of his engine which debilitates his enemy before he delivers the killing blow. He is good at espionage, sabotage and assassination. Like all the Stunticons Breakdown possesses an incredible acrobatic agility and is loaded with a plethora of weapons; though his weapons are geared towards his aforementioned combat skills.

Any crits or suggestions are always welcome.

Wildrider:If there is one word that could describe Wildrider it is maniacal; though even this does not paint an adequate picture of the insane Stunticon. To put it mildly, Wildrider's reckless, unhinged behaviour makes the neurosis ridden personalities of his brothers seem normal by comparison. As Drag Strip puts it, "there are many varying levels of sanity… none of which Wildrider possesses." The only consistency in Wildrider's life seems to be his inconsistency. He switches between personalities and moods with an unsettling flippancy and frequency. Often he will say one thing only to contradict himself minutes later. Though he argues that there is nothing wrong with this, he simply "sees things a lot clearer than everybody else."
Dead End hypothesises that his 'brother' may have been vomited up by some unfathomable deity as a cruel reminder of the apparent farcical, dichotomous nature of the universe. Breakdown is more pragmatic in his explanation of Wildrider's behaviour, believing that Wildrider must have possessed an histrionic personality disorder prior to their "creation". The violent process simply purified his gestalt-mates wild behaviour. Though even he admits this still doesn't provide an answer for all of Wildrider's apparent "issues."

The constantly fidgeting, twitchy mech seems to live in a world of his own, often showing a blatant disregard for laws and social norms far beyond standard deviant behaviour. Wildrider is far from stupid however. He displays disturbingly clever levels of planning, and quick improvisation. He is also a skilled, hand to hand fighter, who's unpredictability and self styled street fighting make him a dangerous opponent to even the most proficient of fighters. Combined with the Stunticon's natural resilience to physical damage and his dangerous weapons, Wildrider is no pushover. In car mode, he drives up to 250mph+ with amazing maneuverability, though his crazed driving makes him a danger to everyone around him. Abound with endless energy this deranged Stunticon is never hard to find, one need only follow the trail of disaster left in his wake or the sounds of manic laughter.

Along with being extremely temperamental and unpredictable Wildrider seems to have very little care for his own safety. Motormaster's usual physical and psychological bullying tactics have little effect on the wild Stunticon who either ignores or laughs and goads the violent truck. This doesn't put off Motormaster who knows of Wildrider's irrational fear of silences and is more than happy to use and abuse said weakness.

Holy crap man! This looks awesome! And you're going to model him in 3d?!
However, the sadly small amount of red on his face is somewhat bothering me.
Other than that, this looks nearly flawless!
Will you be doing other combiner teams, or is it too early to know for sure?

Actually I like that you gave Breakdown less red on his face, in the eye area only..can be preceived as a mask..and to me at least, that seems much more menacing.

    Awesome job!! :thumb

Don't get me wrong, I think it looks great, it's just interesting how little red you added.

    Thank you, :D

I shall. Just working on Dead End now and I've started Wildrider and Drag Strip.

Interesting suggestion Meggamus, I'll play around with that when I am making his 3D model, see what it looks like.

    Cheers man. :D

I hope his full body design comes out equally awesome. :thumbs2:

Cheers Traachon, I actually did have his face all red to begin with, being the G1 nut that I am. Unfortunately I felt like his mouth just got to lost in the detail. Then I tried by making his mouth a more copper colour but it ended up clashing with the mask so I thought screw it, make it grey.

Having said that though, when I model him, I might drop the red face back in just to see what it looks like.

As for other combiner teams...the Combaticons keep incessantly prodding my brain, so we may see them yet.

Cheers Moreprimeland, a menacing Stunticon is a good Stunticon. The mask was actually accidental. One of those, *hey, That's pretty cool* moments. :D

Looks fantastic, love the wolfy vibe he gives off, very in keeping with his personality. But he looks too much like an autobot! There's a pretty big distinction betweeen the two in the movie aesthetic, really he needs more eyes (pretty appropriate as he's a scout) and ideally his mouth removed completely and replaced with some insectlike mouthparts. If not that then at least some fangs adding. Examples of what I mean:

Nah, I liked the original artwork best, never was a fan of the insect look--for myself anyway, but the artwork and color suggestions are wonderful too.

I think the original design is fantastic... for and Autobot, but I agree it needs to be more inhuman for a Decepticon. It almost looks like Mirage. I think maybe a more square, beastial jaw, more detailed eyes (Though I don't think this base design works the four eyes very well) and a more intricate forehead would help make it seem liek a decepticon.

I really like the way that looks. It's like his G1 face but cut away to reveal a more movie-like design. And if his face looks like an Autobot I think that could work since the Stunticons are usually inspired from Autobot designs (G1 Megs wanted to use cars like the Autobots, and the Autobots were even able to desguise themselves as them, and in Animated they had Autobot bodies)

Thanks for the feedback kjeevahh! :D  I probably should have explained that my movie Stunticons were in fact former Autobots experimented on and turned 'Con by unscrupulous con scientists. This explains their more Autobot like appearance. And while Breakdown, Dead End and Drag Strip were too vain or perhaps subconsciously still slightly attached to Autobot self to change, Wildrider and Motormaster have 'mutilated' themselves far more towards the Con aesthetic than their kin. I wanted to give the group this real visual dichotomy to reflect their tortured natures and Frankenstein like origins.

Having said that I'll take a page from your book and add a more spikes and angles, give him a look more in keeping with DOTM Soundwave. I really like your second design.

Cheers Splilt Lip. I agree he may be too Autobot. I designed him like that because I thought being a scout/assassin/espionage and sabotage soldier he would have to sneak into Autobot ranks and interact with out raising any suspicion.

Perhaps I can give him a 'Mask mode' like Bumblebee, that gives him a far more Decepticon appearance.

Thanks Boutyan! :D  This was what I hand in mind as I was designing. I made my movie Stunticons origin an amalgamation of their numerous origin stories through out the various tf lore so to extent the homage further.

Random ravage design insert. Stuck in bed with a cold.

The head is too Zoid-ish, even with the weird mouth within a mouth thing. I'll have to change that. As for the rest of him I wanted his re built form to have a zombie/skeletal undead vibe.

Really like your update for Wildrider..great looking metal effect too! Can't whisper anything to his audio processors tho, it could poke an eye out. :D
