All of the Decepticons' Ore-13 stockpile (and maybe more from the asteroid where Starscream had set up his base) was used to build Megatron's new body. The Autobots apprently never used the stuff.

It's because all that Bumblebee-mania caused by Baymovies, continued in Animated and on and on. Bumblebee got strong PR in the movies so from then he is one of main chars, like OP, Starscream etc.

As for comic, I'm confused by presence of some Animated-alike, or rather Prime-alike, characters (with almost absent noses and short faces) along with G1-alike ones. Why such a mess? What was initially just the Cartoon Network 'deformed' stylized drawing (potrayed not only in TF: Animated, but also in their Star Wars, Teen Titans and other similar projects), after Animated become a part of Transformers canonical potraying in general? 'New classic style' for any Transformers in near future? Prime have it, then this comic, though this style is not even Transformers-only. As I've said, it was used in many other cartoons. And the right place for such style is in comically deformed childish cartoons, not in something more realistic-drawn. Stupid tendency.

By the way, I don't like the name mess too. Why using 'RiD' if such cartoon (though only dub) is already used? Or Hasbro think that original RiD was too insignificant and forgotten already, so from now let's pretend that Sky Byte's world never been aired?
