Yes, I'm down with him leading the remnants of the Decepticon army. Just give him Thunderwing and Overlord as lieutenants and have him voiced by Ron Perlman.

Galvatron might still be a possibility , but Straxus would be good and a nice change...Though, who else here would like to see Jhiaxus as leader, I think that could work, like he did in the G2 comics, he could bring in a new Generation of Transformers.

 

Galvatron should be the leader. Here's an outline of a plot I came up with, through which Galvatron would be born.

Transformers: Rise of Galvatron:

• Long ago, Primus and Unicron came into being as natural consequences of the universe's will to balance itself
• Primus came into being as a creator, but Unicron came into being as a destroyer
• Primus created all planets and forms of life, but Unicron destroyed many of them
• Realizing that Unicron exists solely to work against him, Primus battled with Unicron and sealed him away in a resting place similar to his own
• This resting place is known as Megamax
• Primus then created Cybertron to serve as his resting place, at the center of which he rests as its core (i.e. Primus is the core of Cybertron)
• Primus created the ALLSpark to re-energize Cybertron when necessary and create the Transformers to guard Cybertron
• Awakened by the partial destruction of Cybertron, Primus emerges from the center of Cybertron and transforms from his planet-core mode
• He warns the remaining Transformers that his energy-signature will rouse Unicron from his slumber.
• Unicron, roused from his slumber, calls out to the Decepticons
• Unicron has a special connection with the Decepticons because it is he who corrupted Megatronus Prime, turning him into The Fallen (the first Decepticon)
• Unicron calls out to Straxus, ordering him to come to Megamax with Megatron's spark
• There, Unicron orders Straxus to place Megatron's spark into a newly formed body and then reveals to him the Dead Matrix
• He then orders Straxus to use the Dead Matrix to animate this new body, into which Megatron's spark has been placed
• This newly animated being is named Galvatron
• Galvatron becomes the leader of the Decepticons once again, kickinig off the next saga

 

Is Straxus darkmount? The Darkmount figure looks just like him

I don't even know. I think Straxus would be cool, especially with a giant pickaxe, that would probably prove to be iconic after TF4.
I didn't actually know who Straxus was until a couple of minutes ago. The name seemed like he wasn't Cybertronian to me. I suppose that could make him stand out a bit then.
A giant pickaxe wielding robot could probably be a leader of the Decepticons. I support Thundercracker, Skywarp, Thrust and Dirge as lackeys though. Make room for the Wreckers too.

I can picture it now. If TF4+5 are joined by a cliffhanger, then I imagine it like this:
<Optimus, Ratchet, the Wreckers and the others look in horror as Straxus slams his foot down on Bumblebee.>
Optimus: Straxus! Let him go!
Straxus: Mercy is not dispensed here, fools...
<Straxus brings down his pickaxe and slams it straight through bumblebee's chest. The camera fades to black as Optimus runs towards Straxus in slo-mo, his swords springing into place. In the background Ratchet falls to his knees.>
<As the camera fades to black, we hear...>
Straxus: ...Only death.
<And then a maniacal laugh from the leader of the decepticons.>

 

G1 Season 3 characters for me, please. Not resurrected though.

 

Straxus would be pretty damn awesome! Thunderwing would be a good addition in my opinion as well.

 

1. Who said he was ever on cybertron? He could of been on the moon or on earth since '07 or '09.
2. Who said he couldn't look different? I would actually want his alt mode to be a giant tank kinda like brawl.

The audience is dumb but not that dumb. I think they'll realize that megatron and galvatron both have "tron" in them. It would be like a tron family, if the brother dies the next brother gets to be the leader. You get what I'm trying to say?

 

Yeah, so? It would still work as a new character that's not just a reformatted Megatron.

 

I voted yes, but would be just as happy with Liege Maximo. I do agree with those who say the above ones I mentioned may be too obscure to the movie-verse, but I'd still love to see 'em.

One of my friends is an engineer and he loves these movies.

 

it would be cool if they got leige Maximo as the main villain. and his first plans are to corrupt optimus's mind to betray the autobots and maybe kill BB or someone else to bring in a new character like hot shot or cliffjumper and after he is done messing with optimus's he reveals himself to the world and wrecks havoc on the world. then he realizes megatron was a failure and sees that he would rather bring shockwave back to life and make him more stronger. as optimus starts to feel normal again after leige Maximo corrupts his mind, he and the fellow autobots are ambushed and imprisoned. leige Maximo then steels optimus's matrix to then gain more knowledge on the autobot plans so that he has full control. he also uses the matrix to find where the key of vector sigma is.

 

I don't think Straxus would make a great main villain. Maybe if he was a field commander like Shockwave was.
Personaly I wouldn't mind Thunderwing. It might even be cool if he was questing for the Matrix like he did in the comics.
