With robots like Lazerbeak & Frenzy turning into whatever they want - the speculation is open as to whether or not he could have regular feet if he felt like it.

It has been argued that robots with wheel feet are as agile, if not more so, than robots with regular feet - apparently, the softness of the tires allow them to grip the ground better.

 

i wish we got more of him and dino/mirage. spin off please?

Yeah, I noticed that Crankcase kicked Sideswipe in the face. It's hard to see, with the movie going so fast you forget a lot of small details.

 

Pointless thread.... But anyway he wouldn't be so fast if they shot his tires out haha.

 

Everything about Sideswipe is awesome. It's really cool to watch him move with those wheel-feet... brings some speed and agility you don't see in most multi-ton clanking giant robots  

his whole design is really something.

 

Absolutely!!!!!! Except for Optimus (One can get never get enough Optimus screen time) I'd love it if they swapped out the BumbleBee, Wheelie, Brains, Sam and love interest for Sideswipe, Dino, Epps and Lennox as major characters in future installments.

 

Good luck with that. None of the Transformers have been seen with a flat tire, so it's pretty safe to assume that their tires are made of firmer stuff than ours.

And, Swipe is so fast, they'd never get a chance to blow out a tire to begin with.

 

he can do it in one swift move, that is his advantage with being a wheelbot

 

Especially his teeth.

 

QFT. I'm glad that design was brought into the movies, even if it is not related/faithful to the character of Sideswipe. It was very cool to see such a drastically different style of robot (sleek, movement oriented wheelbot) appear in the medium. The idea of the robots being alien was really brought across in the first film with characters like Bonecrusher and Starscream, with their unique body designs, but it was cool to see an expansion on that.

...He's pretty fast and seamless. His first transformation in RotF? He doesn't skip a beat.

I would have liked to see them more together, period. Like back to back bad asses against a horde of Decepticon Drones.

*They both start racing and forget about the Dreads*

Mirage: "Hahaha! I win!
Sideswipe: "Yeah, but what happened here..." *looks around*
Mirage: "It looks like the Dreads got away with their plan."
Sideswipe: "...and we also accidentally ran some humans over..."
Bumblebee: "You guys are f*cking idiots! I'm telling Optimus Prime!"

Hell yeah. But then, I was really hoping to see the Wreckers in the Daytona 500, when they get called to duty, and take Jimmy Johnson, Dale Earnhardt Jr and Juan Pablo Montoya for the ride of their lives.

this woulda looked freakin awesome if they looked at the dreads/drones and then looked at each other and they both deploy their blades at the same time, woulda been a real badass moment
