The existence of that wiki article has been heavily debated. Just look at the talk section of it. Other wiki editors have been trying to get it deleted since it was written. Just months ago, it was written completely differently, then it was debated and submitted for deletion, and someone went in and completely rewrote it in the last few weeks. It's the logic I used as a kid. I knew "first party games" were made by Nintendo, and "third party games" were made by other companies like Capcom. So I assumed "second party games" were Nintendo-owned properties made by hired companies." I was wrong. There is no such thing, and it's a common logic error made by people who don't realize it's the first and third person perspective system. It mostly used in gaming journalism because many of them started off as kids playing games who started writing about those games and never received a proper education in journalism. No offense by that, but that's the truth. Second pary is always the customer/consumer.
Oh sorry. I meant that I was using the term incorrectly. Like I said, I had heard it used and assumed it wad correct. That was later proved false. Also, what gogdog said.
It's a nice looking figure, but having recently finished Masterforce; no. I did not care for Minerva at all.
Their stuff really is expensive... specially considering the cheap plastic they use and the braking parts. They really have a very bad quality for what they expect you to pay. The good thing is that if you wait, their stuff usually takes a nose dive in price.
Ah, my bad. The fact that my misinformation comes from years of gaming shows the trap I fell into! damn gaming journalists! Thanks for clearing that up.
I would actually buy this, and the other two if they make them. They would look good displayed with their g1 selves (the autobots I mean)
Crafty! Now if only I had a Minerva transformer plus a bunch of other Masterforce figures and/or a Nightbeat. I'd like to see United/Generations versions of Minerva and Nightbeat. We've got a few car molds now where the front mudguard area forms the upper arms/shoulders like Rodimus, Drift/Blurr and Windcharger, but none like these two Headmasters where the mudguard-headlight area forms the forearm. And with their doors becoming shoulder crests, Minerva and Nightbeat's silhouettes would be pretty unique and eye catching in Classics/Henkei etc collections. In the meantime, this is pretty cool; would want to be for the price. I really enjoyed Super God Masterforce too, generally speaking.
That would be amazing if they included a helmet chair so I can have a giant Minerva head to sit on a table for display. Loving this so far. So damn random.
I was thinking along those lines too; the Transector face isn't much bigger than Minerva's own head! The chair would make the head mode look more substantial, and otherwise give Minerva something to chill out in.
If they're going to go as far as making her face transform, it seems like a waste to just leave it on her back. I think this figure still has some surprises yet to be revealed.
Yeah. There is no way they are going to make the effort to make a two-stage transforming face on her backpack and just leave it at that.
Well theres obviously an attachment mechanism of some kind on the back of the face for backpack mode, so there's at least one way of attaching it alone to the chair/helmet. Prior to this I'd wondered if Minerva's exosuit armour plates might detach to - or otherwise - form part of the head. The chair helmet is alot more straightforward, if for now hypothetical. With these sorts of features for Minerva, I wonder, what could they possibly include on Ginrai? Unless his apparent higher popularity alone will be used to sell him.
This is really putting into perspective what a Headmaster has to go through. I mean even if the helmet-chair makes it so she doesn't have to dislocate her knees to transform, she'd still have to bury her head in the transtector to combine and then support herself by her neck muscles. This is such an insane concept, and thats why I want it!
I just want the back pack head. I don't care about the figure. lol I like how they engineered so that visor is movable.
I'd rather have Humans in 3.75" size or slightly smaller. Kickers GF would be good as would the Cybertron Kids. Even some PVC's would have some merit to them.
