I, sadly, agree that it will be Bulkhead who dies.
His replacement will probably be Wheeljack, Breakdown (he's shown hesitance to the Decepticons in Operation: Breakdown), or the introduction of Ironhide.
Animated had a strong character development with Blackarachnia, and was going to start developing Arcee before the 4th season got canned.
Even here in TF: Prime, we get a very strong character in the form of Arcee (And kind of Airachnid).
While I can't say that they have been in abundance, female characters do get some good roles.

Unless they want to acknowledge any of the main characters as "weak," I doubt they'll kill any of them.

If anyone shall be considered weak, it's probably Megatron. Granted he's strong and powerful in many ways, but he chose to be evil. Usually, it's believed that only those who chose to be evil are those with the weakest minds. So maybe Megatron is the one to be "the weak shall perish" in the prophecy.

Then again, it's also too early to kill Megatron. Still, I doubt they would really kill one of the main characters.

Though I do not want to see him die, I'm pretty sure it's going to be Bulkhead. And if I'm right, then I will be sad.

i be"s tellin ya, megatron will be the one to bite it after a heroic last stand with optimus to try to stop the apparently earth sized unicron. the big "u" is gonna make his(megatron) butt a groveling bee-otch--cuz he wuz on his knees... into galvatron...stronger, bigger and faster than any megatron or galvatron we've ever seen before. hooah for keeping with the original origin in tf: prime!

It is, but I laughed hard at imagining Wheeljack as "deal with it" dog.

Ok yeah, that's actually kinda funny :p

It's not just that, Arcee seems to be Hasbro's primary test to see how well the current market will receive a female toy. She's the first female transformer to be a strong, important character with a vehicle alt mode. No other female character has that combination of characteristics. If Arcee sells well, it's likely Hasbro will at least be persuaded to reconsider the place of female characters in Transformers.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again; if you want more female characters in future TF media and toylines, buy Arcee's toy. Buy the shit out of her.

Well a perception exists that females don't sell in a male dominated toyline. Buying a lot of toys of the females could alter this perception.

It was teasing us with this too.

June nearly bought it and not long after saying much needed frustration at Prime and friends. This would have been interesting to see how it would have effected Jack with Arcee and Optimus.

Many suspect BULKHEAD dying and becoming a reality check for MIKO. And of course RAPH nearly snuffed it too.

I don't think it'll be ARCEE. Aside from Optimus, she seems to be the main character in this saga. Unless it's a big build up.

After all, killing CLIFFJUMPER shows TFPrime isn't afraid to build character and kill them for story.

Yeah, I think it's Bulkhead who bites it. Which is odd considering he's getting a toy. A really nicely designed toy, no less.

    very well thought out.
However I don't think it is commiting cartoon suicide to kill off a main character. Maybe it's because i don't view Prime as solely a kids cartoon. The makers have to know that probably the dominant viewing age range is that of 15-35. Besides all the complex storylines in Prime I wouldn't expect my six year old to follow. All he knows is Transformers drive and fly fast and fight. Ok. Nuff said there for a six year old. I personally agree with your tv show bizz 101 paragraph.

Too true. I had forgotten about him. Well then, I'm almost certain it's Bulkhead who bites it.

I think, if a character will die by the end of Season 1, it will be Bulkhead without a doubt. It is too early for Prime if they want to keep him dead, Bee of course has voice issues to explore, Ratchet doesn't do enough and to have a replacement medic would feel like a waste of a new character, and Arcee is arguably the main character of the show. On the Con side, no Decepticon besides Megatron has played enough of a role in this finale arc yet to tell if killing them off would be justified. I doubt Knock Out or Breakdown would just show up and die in the last two episodes, and it's hard to tell if Starscream will even show up before the season ends. Soundwave's death would have no impact whatsoever and there still seems to be a bit left to explore between Airachnid and Arcee. Megatron likely won't permanently bite it this early. Also, Unicron as Earth sort of justifies his early use in the series, because I doubt they cannot permanently destroy him just yet. That leaves Bulkhead, who while I love in this series so far would create a great emotional arc for both Miko and Arcee.

by the way who ever said the cahracter dies in the season finale?
I heard that a main character dies between now and the middle of next season? I don't think it will happen until next season? Why even being up next season if it was going to happen in the season finale?
I think it is actually a BIG risk to kill off a character in the season finale. You risk people (fans) being pissed off at whatever decision you make and not tune in for season 2. However if you do it after season 2 has already started fans are already invested and have a better chance of hanging with the show.

i would love to see wheeljack comeback...him and bulkhead fight awesome epic fight against over whelming odds...and then have breakdown kill wheeljack infront of bulkhead...that would make for a kick ass storyline for following episodes in season 2....

no you make a good point, I don't consider June a main character she is NOT in more episodes than she is in therefore she isn't a main character. True I think a six year old would view June's death differently than one of the autobots. Here is how my six year old reasons it (please realize mine is autistic as well though), if June dies he will immediately take into account that his own mommy is mortal and could die etc. Mommies don't normally fight everyday or even in the series the mommies don't fight. Transformers fight all the time thus even in a six year olds mind he knows they might die. In ROTF and DOTM when characters died my son understood and even accepted it. He died because he fought and he lost. If "mommy" doesn't fight and then dies that becomes something totally different.

    Hope I made sense there.
