I'm liking this, if he's really a smaller Unicron. I've always felt that him and Primus were too big to interact with, and hope to see this adjusted. Making Unicron a giant and perhaps having Primus as the core of Cybertron-well that would be just dandy for me =]

This counterpart of him seems kinda small. He was much bigger in the cartoon movie, or he seemed to be. But I guess it's better that way for prime.

 

I'm sure he'll get a proper color scheme sometime, but this is the first time he's been up and mobile in who knows how long, so it makes sense that his body looks rusted and ancient.

 

I don't think that was Unicron that came out of the ground. Probably one of his minions or something.

 

Are people still questioning if that is Unicron? Seriously? Well, it is Unicron and you can see it if you look close.

First of all, look at the size of Megatron in correltion to Unicron. It is obviously in scale with Bulkhead and Bumblebee in the pic under his foot.







That stuff along with the chest part others have pointed out makes it obvious to me.

 

So the mysterious figure is indeed Unicron. Cool.

 

Why are there still people in denial that it's Unicron?

 

Because he's not planet sized therefore it can't be Unicron.

 

The only thing about his design that's perplexing me right now is this: if an important feature of the Prime aesthetic is a lack of noses...how are they gonna do Unicron's facial hair? A mustache kinda comes right from under the nose. They could do an Animated-style helmet-nose, but it looks like he just has a straight up nose. That's gonna look a bit...out of place.

 

Maybe ancient robots had noses and the more recent one's don't?

 

WhY uNiCRon nO PlANet SizE? Seriously,this isn't G1. They can make Unicron however as big as they want to

dammit people, Unicron being a volcanoformer or whatever he is is not the end of the franchise.

 

As unique, and 50/50 I am on the idea of Unicron being downscaled... It could turn out to be a good thing, or possibly even a bad thing... Seeing how history seems to repeat itself within the TF franchise... Regardless what we on here think, if he's downscaled to what we saw in the teaser, then it'll forever be a trend, regardless if it's good or bad... Also considering how he's referred to as the chaos bringer & not the planet devourer, I think they might be taking a Galactus approach to things... Unless the theories of that being his minion or avatar happen to be true as well... Only time will tell.

Because no one on the show has stated that the giant bot is Unicron.

Unicron might be involved but for all we know, Unicron could be elsewhere controlling Megatron and others from afar and the big Transformer could be a herald or minion of his.

Or I could be wrong and Unicron is now giant robot size. But we still don't have solid proof. We will only know when the episode comes out next Saturday or maybe one of the later two.

 

That'd be an...interesting evolutionary trend. After the creation of the shit-smelling twins, Skalor and Blot, the Transformers as a whole evolved to no longer need noses.

Giant robot or planet sized, it's Unicron, the fucking Chaos Bringer! He can be a midget and still chew the shit out of Optimus or Megs.
