Same here. No issues whatsoever standing and posing both of the MP-01's that I have, MP-02 or any of the MP-04's I have had (three in total bought several years apart). Maybe it just depends on the kind of pose you put them in...?

I just tried copying the poses Agent GHQ posted, mine started to fall every time.

    oh well.

I know MP-10 is going to have much better stability across the board.

I already have the unboxing video up on my YouTube. :D

Will post the toy demonstration later.

    MP-10 Convoy DeBox Video

I'm loving the toy. Deluxe cars can fit in the trailer. :D

I'll share more of my thoughts on it later.

MP10 looks great from the above video. Yeah, I support diecast metal where it occurs on the feet, structure, and leg. Too much die cast metal will make it harder for the figure to make certain posing.

I was going to order one from my local ImageAnime until they boosted MP10 from 250 to 260, damn! That's their lost. Looks like I have to go online for either CP or BBTS.

As for MP1 mold, both of my Prime and Magnus stand fine without any support. I never have any issue.

My Hasbro MP Prime likes to lean forwards a lot
    *shrug*

none the less, i am more and more wanting that MP10 Prime. All around I like him a lot more than the original [save for the price :p ]

It's a clever transformation and all, but I don't know, something about the simplistic leg/feet conversion still bothers me. And I really wish the hip area wasn't so obvious in alt mode. But I am really liking the gun storage aspect even if it means the gun is now a little smaller than what we're used to. And the new Matrix chamber in the chest is awesome. Very well hidden and very well protected. Just too bad this fig is way too big to properly fit in with the Classics-verse stuff. I was hoping it might be able to replace the current Voyager we have.

I think it goes without saying that we're getting a Hasbro release out of this, and I even think they'll leave the smoke stacks alone. They're pretty short to begin with, and the fact that they can get more compressed in alt mode tells me they were thinking about this in advance for a North American release. Or maybe I'm just reading into it too much :)  The only question is, if Hasbro does release this, are they going to f*ck up the colors again by giving him a more cartoony red/orange deco like they did with their 20th Anniversary MP edition.

I think it's fair to say that Masterpiece Optimus prime was the most successful Masterpiece to date, in no small part due to the ridiculous number of repaints and reissues: MP-01, MP-02, MP-04, Black Convoy, Sleeper Prime, Last-Shot, etc, etc.

No doubt Version 2 will be subjected to the same treatment and will represent a similar return on Tak/Tom's investment.

Having said that, I have mine ready to ship from HLJ. I must admit I'm a little surprised that there were no reviews in the lead-up to it's release. Most the other Masterpieces have had relatively advanced previews before being publicly available.........

Successful for TT maybe but not for fans who want more variety in the MP line. Of course TT didn't force anyone to buy repaint after repaint, so I guess my biggest problem is with the fans who bought the same figure so many times. One G1 Optimus is enough for my collection.

No they didn't take it into account. There is plenty enough mass on a semi to hide his parts in robot mode without losing anything.

Man I AM sorry, but compared to MP-01, you are getting ripped off. What is sad, is that after over 25 years, MP-01 nor MP-10 have a more realistic vehicle mode than G1 Prime.

This is so tempting and so far, the tidbits of reviews are positive in terms of quality. Tough choice, but I'm going to be patient on buying this one.

And after 25 years, both MP01 and MP10 still have more realistic robot modes than G1 Prime.

    Apples & oranges.

I'm waiting for the eventual US release. Hasbro knows Optimus sells, and I doubt they'd pass on this.

    Yeah?

    Where?

Because I'm looking at photos and videos of this thing, and I'm not seeing the required magical unused space his waist could have gone.

In order to get his waist to hide in the cab area, something already in the cab would have to be either removed, or dramatically shrunken down. To hide it in the legs would mean that the lower legs would have to be even longer, and even wider to slide up and cover it.

G1 Prime pulled it off because he had no waist, just a bumper. Is that how you think this one should be? We could do it that way, or the robot masters way, and have Optimus have a really skinny and stupid looking abdomen.

You can't just cram a big block of robot in an existing toy without sacrificing the parts that are already there somehow, and considering how it would impact the transformation.
