hello people. i just signed up to become a member <'o'> i am 15 and i have some money to spend on something. i cannot decide between 3 items. i need YOUR help to decide what i should get. i want all of these equally. here's the 3 items: -special effect: pe-11 reflector set + repro label set (i can get the rest of the money in about 1-2 weeks) -music label iPod white convoy (i can get the rest of the money in about a month) -music label Frenzy & Rumble headphones + repro label set (i have the money for it now) this is a shockwave face to represent awesomeness <'o'>
A good question here would be, what sort of collector are you? Are you the type who opens up and enjoys displaying/playing with the toys, or do you just plan to buy them and keep em in a box somewhere
You're supposed to put this in the toy discussion thread but you're new so I won't go hard on you.I'd recommend the PE Reflector set since it's the most spectacular of the three (in my opinion at least) Welcome to TFW2005 by the way!
In that case, PE Reflector the other two have somewhat limited playability, Prime is mostly a display piece and for playing music, the music label rumble/frenzy while having better articulation, really have lousy alt modes, and can't compare to PE Reflector in terms of playability
If you are really going to be a collector, and not just be buying the piece for the "cool factor" then I would say this: - Buy PE Reflector. He is one of my favorite TFers. I have like 200 at this point and he is top 5 or 10. - No need to buy the other ones as well. Those would be at the bottom of the list if your trying to do a good represenation of G1 collection. - For Frenzy and Rumble, look at the Perfect Effect Frenzy and Rumble or wait for Hasbro to release theirs. - If you really want Music Label, get Music Label Soundwave. It depends on what you want. I would probably shoot for PE's Reflector because it's more of a figure(s) than an accessory. You're also more likely to sell it at cost (maybe more), should you decide to part with it.
Says the guy who's been here a month. Your three choices are pretty underwhelming, IMO. Reflector is tiny...and I mean tiny. Each bot is barely scout sized. Ipod Convoy is bland and uninspired. And the headphones are just...headphones. I know they transform into something that remotely looks like F/R but only because of the color. I'd save my money if I were you.
Of what you listed go with the PE Reflector set. If you're going to get Music Label Soundwave do it right and get the Blue version. Do not bother wasting your money on the Music Label Frenzy/Rumble not worth it at all!
pe reflector is awesome, and in my top 10 out of 500 tfs i have right now, so much fun to fiddle with (need to get a couple sets of the stickers though)
