Nope, sorry. Those do look like they'd be a good fit, but unfortunately I don't have that Mixmaster. Another small update, something I'm rather proud of: Light up eyes! This is just a quick test (the wires haven't even been properly hidden yet), but I'm pleased with how it looks right now (though it's actually red in person, not orange or pink).
Before i saw all the updates about this, the head really bothers me,but you did well on the head gave him the dotm megatron feel,i have to say that the other custom dotm megs is better,. But yours is the best,i insanly love the proportions.looking forward to its final look.
This is AWESOME! Though I have to agree with the above comment about the head. You have a huge chunk of his entire head gone, but I think (looking at my Cyberverse Megs) that it's just supposed to be parts of his face missing. You could probably glue some bits onto the back of his head to fix it. Can't wait to see him all painted, though!
Glad you like it! The battle damage was toned down for the toys, but in the movie itself a huge chunk of it is gone. You can see it best when he's looking directly at the camera. You can see it well in the attached pics, especially the actual screencap. What's wrong with the feet?
Looking great! The only think that I don't prefer is the width of the head as a whole. If you were to shave some of his cheeks to sit the side pieces closer I thin it would give a less "bat" type of look. Like the the cgi picture you posted of him looking up at the camera/
love your work so far , maybe if you somehow curved the pieces on the side of his head round to match the cgi if not dont worry jst something i noticed I hope I don't sound nitpicky or that I'm trying to find things wrong with it cos I really do like this
Maybe I could send you the ones from mine. I'm replacing that Mixmaster with a voyager sized one for my Devastator project. Please send me a PM if you're interested
How does this look? And I know that the 'horn' on the battle damaged side is crooked and that it's a bit messy, I'll clean it up later. I just want to know people's thoughts on how this looks first.
Ye this looks better now and like u said once u have finished the other "horn" cos from the pic it doesn't look like u have curved it like the other one , it will look very movie acc And maybe if u shortened it a bit or cut the top off and sharpened it like the movie pic underneath , that would be good I love way u done with the chin area , looks soooo much better!!!!
He's been put on hold because I fucked up and damaged a shoulder joint pretty bad while trying to give him better articulation. Trying to find a way to fix it, either with a new joint, or see if I can find a new OP that I can use for spare parts. Unfortunately I'm working on a budget, and it's a bit hard to find cheap ones here. Shipping doesn't really make importing an option either.
what part of OP do you need? i have some left over bits of mine that got cannibalized for my leader megs.
Time for a long overdue update! Made some major changes. Touched up the chest and neck area, gave him new shoulder joints, rearranged some other bits and pieces, changed the right arm so it's bulkier and has a balljointed wrist swivel instead of a swivel that starts in the middle of the forearm, lengthened the torso a bit, etc etc. Tried to give him waist articulation as well, but it didn't look like that was going to work so I dropped that idea. I also gave him new wheels for on his shoulders. The other ones looked a bit more appealing, but these work better because they're thinner and lay flat against the shoulder piece. This is important because it allows me to replicate the effect from the movie, where the upper wheels constantly shifted positions with every move of his arm. And since the ones on his elbows are largely covered, they don't look that out of place. Not done yet, need to add some more things, but I think I can start painting next week! I'm going to wait with taking movie poses until he's entirely finished, but I took these two pics as a test and I'm really pleased with how they turned out, so I have to share them. And a bit late for Halloween:
