What figure(s) from an older toyline(s) have you taken off your shelf recently, fiddled with, and fallen in love with them, or found your fondness for again?

For me, it has to be Cybertron Downshift. Simple transformation, unobtrusive Cyber key gimmick (hell, the port even folds away!) and the aethetic is just great in both modes. Yea he has a bit of a huge chest and no waist swivel, but he is pretty nifty otherwise. I've had hime nigh on 2 years i think and i just fiddled with him again earlier.

Hmm, I get this every time I open the drawer where I have my BW and RiD figures.

But I really got this the other day when I fiddled a while with my only unicron trilogy figure, Vector Prime. He's so sweet.

ROTF voyager Bludgeon. Especially with the Headrobots set. It's an awesome figure, and it's even better with the upgrade set.

I just pulled out Transmetal 2 Tigerhawk the other day, and he's pretty fun.

I'd forgotten what a pleasant surprise he was compared to the awful mistransformed photo on his box. There's a lot of great sculpting detail that unfortunately gets lost in all of that solid white plastic.

I messed around with Depth Charge too and I like him even more since I just finally figured out how to position his wings properly in robot mode. He's got a really nice use of chrome and I love the shooting disks way more than searching for missiles that accidentally launch behind the couch constantly.

The RID car brothers. I had both sets sealed (original colors and recolors), and I opened the original colored ones. Very underrated transformers in my opinion.

Are they underrated? I always thought everybody loved these... well at least I find them amazing. Pity that I ruined my Prowl trying to custom paint him.

I haven't bought a new Transformer in a while and had all my stuff in storage for a year while I was traveling.
Coming back and going through my old stuff has made me fall in love all over again with certain figures but also made me a lot more critical about the molds I own.
I'll probably end up selling about 1/3rd of my collection, keeping only the ones that really mean something to me.

Having said that, RID Car Brothers and G1 Super Ginrai really impressed me this 2nd time around.

rid megatron for me. i was just sitting in my collection room the other day changing some displays around, namely RID optimus and magnus into omega prime and i picked him up. i had him with me for the rest of the day, every now and then i transformed him into one his different altmodes. he's just an epic figure.

I just started messing with movie Wreckage. I'd forgotten what a great little figure this was. Alt mode is ok, but robot mode has imo suprising articulation/poseablity.
