    If Target puts out an exclusive transforming dvd case I'll have to buy that and the ultimate 3-D edition.

    Now that there is an offical press release you will probably start seeing dates and pre-order stuff on those sites.

    I truly don't understand that "marketing blitz". It seems like a TON of money to spend promoting a product that needs very little promotion.

    Also, count me among those waiting for the special edition. It's cool the movie is coming out so soon, but I can wait for the super-mega-version with everything.

    I still truly hope there is an extended edition. I just need to see if they ever did anything with the twins and later cut in the 11th hour. King Kong was a great extended edition release.

    The most interesting part in the press release is when Hasbro/Paramount describe the franchise as the 'ongoing epic battle'. Sorta puts a chink in the armor of the whole 'reboot' idea.

    Do we yet know the difference between this one and the special edition? Will the special edition be an extended cut, or will it just be full of extras?

    I'm guessing just a lot of extras. If there are any extra scenes inserted in the move chances are they won't include any bots.

    if i rent it it will be for 1.50 for 3 days dont no need for waiting for it to show up at my front door weeks later to see movie.

    may buy single disk version then boxset later depends how bad i want it

    Why isn't this listed on Walmart, Target or Best Buy as being released? All of those sites haven't got a thing about it.

    It was said awhile ago in one of the news reports here, that Hasbro wanted the movies to go on. (Not that exact wording, but the idea was given.)
    Don Murphy said no to a reboot.
    Now this.
    On top of a billion plus box office take.

    I don't see a reboot happening. Why mess with a winning formula?
