Why exactly 500 Billion?! I mean, if he wouldn't be so stupid and make it all a bit more realistic there would be more of a chance to win, but 500 Billion and all that? That sounds so ridiculous that I really wonder if he is a bit ******ed?
It has been long said that any person who represents himself in court has a fool for a lawyer. This guy has no case because he is the one who agreed to abide by Microsoft's terms and Microsoft is not legally bound in any way to abide by his amendments or legal changes to the contract of any kind. This case will go nowhere.

Some guy is so socially inept and pathetic he can't even get hired at WALMART of all places, refuses to send notice in writing because it will " put an undue strain on my printer" and plucks $500 Billion in damages out of the air...

He's a screwball for sure, but I actually want his case to be heard. Sure he won't win, $500 Billion is astronomically ******ed, but I don't hink thats actually what he's actually aiming for. If he can force an amendment of certain contract rules, the ones that renew themselves 'if the consumer does nothing' then I'm all for it. Seriously, I've been caught by those before by power companies. If I do nothing my contract gets automatically renewed, of course the bit they put in small print is that commercial power contracts must be cancelled almost 6 Months in advance, so if you do want to cancel you've probably missed that two week cancellation window by a few months so they simply roll the contract over for another year! Seriously. Thats the bullshit I detest, not what this guy is doing. Go crazy man!
The article did say he claimed he couldn't get hired at Walmart because of his Assburgers. So yes, he is ******ed. Not because of the Assburgers, but to think that Walmart wouldn't hire him because of that. Apparently he's never actually been in a Walmart.
^ This. If nothing else, he's making a statement about these "agreeing by inaction" contracts. If companies can hit us with them, why can't we hit the companies? Of course it's so ridiculous, you know he'll lose the case, but he does have a valid point buried in the insanity.
Yea. Inaction clauses are the biggest load of bunk... however, I'm pretty sure many initial contracts include a clause that says: "You agree that henceforth any amendments onto the contract herein described shall be accepted by default within an reasonable time frame provided you do not object in any form otherewise." Or some bull like that. That's not to say entrapments like the prior mentioned "if you don't like how we run things, cancel six months in advanced" bull should be allowed alongside those inaction clauses.
Suing Microsoft for $500 Billion. The companies human beings will sue for and how much they want over little things is insane.
You know, if he'd gone for something like a million, he might have been able to just get them to settle. There are a few valid points in his ridiculous suit.
he still might get a settlement offer just so Mircosoft doesn't have to risk losing that clause in a court ruling in its favor. Depending on how the judge wouldrule and how he wrote said ruling it could screw over alot of companies Contracts.
