If things progress at the current rate I definitely see it happening with my own collection and would even welcome it.

I have already replaced several official toys with 3rd party alternatives that I consider superior and have little intrest in further incarnations of the Classics as I prefer the aesthetic and scale companies like iGear are using with their PP line and I am certain that other items such as a Devastator made up of Voyager Class Constructicons will never happen officially.

Not having licenses to worry about means that any 3rd party version of the G1 cars will also get their original alt modes instead of lame reimaginings or lookalikes of the modern versions of those cars.

iGear are already confirmed to be doing a VW Beetle Bumblebee and are even reshelling the mold so that Cliffjumper gets his Porsche 924 mode....if they do a Porsche 935 Jazz and a Lancia Stratos Wheeljack then I'll sell the United ones like a shot to help pay for them.

I have no intrest in what Has/Tak are doing right now and am happy that there's so many other options.

Nope. I never, ever, buy anything that isn't officially from Hasbro. That 3rd party crap will never be seen anywhere near my collection.

To answer your question exclusacon,NO WAY,most of the fandom don't have the money to spend triple or quadruple of a 3rd party TF that a Classic cost.I mean sure there popular but I bet not a 10th of the collectors on here
buy them, simply because they don't have the hundreds of molds that Hasbro does to crank them out like they do.Also who would pay $100 for a deluxe figure when (eventually) Hasbro will get to it,after all us fans have been here going on 28 years a year or so ain't gonna matter.I say just be patient.

No matter how hard you try and believe otherwise, the Energon repaint will always be the official classics Devastator.

As for the alt modes, since those are basically replicas of the 80s alt modes, that´s also what cause my lack of interested. I´m not interested in old obsolete modes that will look out of place in my collection. Hasbro at least makes amazing alternate modes with neat updates instead of "copy/paste 80s alt mode".

Couldn't have said it better myself.

I wants what I wants and I'll buy from whoever makes me it. Plain and simple. Regards quality, for me at least, as long as they stand/pose I'm happy......they'll very rarely/if ever get transformed anyways.

Now where is my third party MP Soundwave and Shockwave!

I'm speaking as a huge 3rd party supporter here and even I have to admit that 3rd party figures will never replace the Hasbro classics or any other Hasbro Transformer. Can the 3rd party game enhance the collector's Classics shelf? You bet ya. But the price differences alone are enough reason to give Hasbro the edge.

And that alone separate the collector from collectors.....

28 years and we are still waiting on an updated Protectorbots, Mensaor, Fort Max etc...Meanwhile we have a1000 Optimus Primes....Hasbro has other lines to worry about, but when your SDCC exclusives are constantly selling out, that right there should tell you there is a market for this....its must hurt hasbro when a 3rd party can commanda price like 100$ a figure...becuz they know they could or wont accomplish that feat. Rotf Bruticus was just another ugly combiner with prongs for feet and hands, enter 3rd party... A supremely better Bruticus, same with Superion....Classic CJ was just a red BB until Upgrade help him become CJ....Hercules and Giant got people selling classic devy...if Hasbro can do it, then why havent they?

Because Hasbro has to worry about something called laws, in particular child safety laws. Can you imagine what Hasbro could do if they didn't have to worry about sharp edges, small pieces, and there whole business strategy of aiming these towards kids?

I also have to disagree that 3rd parties are hurting Hasbro. I mean, really? Let's compare millions of dollar$$$ to a few thousand (maybe) in total profit.

I'm not bashing 3rd party companies here because I love what they do and the products they create, but in the world of Transformers they can only enhance, not replace. If Hasbro and 3rd parties were on the same playing field (no laws to worry about) I'd be willing to bet we'd see a lot more collectors choose the Hasbro product. That's my guess and opinion.

I never said they were hurting them profits, i meant they could never sell a figure for a hundred if they wanted to....

I wouldnt mind a dull or rubber blade, but at least make it decent.....there is nothing sharp on the bruitcus add on.....the last decent combiner they had WITHOUT help is G1 Devastator....

Price....i think most of the fandom dictate price....."ooh i wish they made Classic Arcee I would pay 100$ for it" 3RD party " coming soon, RC priced 95$" fandom " that figure is nice, but no way im paying 95$ for it, if it was 75$ i would buy it in a heartbeat" same fandom " ooh the paint job on henkei sideswipe is pretty, 65$, thats it, ordered"

Anyway....Happy Labor Day.....sweet Heavy Labor soon will be instock....
