...what he said. as far as what sol fury says about not knowing, I agree, BUT we've spent 20 years not knowing what happened, and I think that it's time to finally find out how the deceps ended up in the lead.

 

I'd like some expansion on what happened.

 

It would have great quotes like, "Me SNARL want to know why it so DARK! RAAARGH!!"

And, "It still dark. Snarl lonely."

And later, "Is me Snarl dead?"

There would be a climactic fight scene between him and whoever finally let him out. I'd watch it!  

 

I wouldn't mind a story to bridge the gap.

Apparently, somewhere between 1985 and 2005, Megatron actually figured out how to KILL Autobots, which gave him the edge and made it possible for him to drive the remaining Autobots from Cybertron.

Unfortunately, after becoming Galvatron and losing large chunks of his sanity to Unicron and an extended dip in lava, he forgot those valuable killing skills, and the Autobots gained the advantage.

 

Mostly I agee, but I'd like to see how (in real anmation) how Scramble City lead to the building of Autobot city and the other events in TF:TM Also, we see little of the Earth in Season 3. I'm sure more season 2 Autobots survived and remained on Earth. I'd like to know if they switched to fighting Earth crimes. Did they chose not to follow Rodimus?

 

And of course completely ignoring that Skids is in the closet with him

talking about bridging the gap... IF TF:LIVE movie is successful( I hope it's a 3 part trilogy just like Matrix or Lord Of The Rings), what about making a LIVE TF movie that bridge the gap between S2 and TFTM as a Side story? Would that be a good idea?

Anyway, Wombat King, Thank you for the concept drawings! What a Movie this could have been. 

 

I don't really care. I've never been really into the "Now we can find out how x happened, won't it be exciting!" school of thought. Those sorts of things are better left to speculation and fan fiction. When they become canon you usually end up with something like the Star Wars prequels, where they actually end up ruining your affection for the originals because they aren't done as well.

 

Sure, I'd love to know what happened. More TF stories with our favorite S1 & 2 characters is always a good thing and we're taking 20 years worth of stories. I don't care if it's "official" (like that's ever going to happen, though IDW could do a mini) or more fanfic. I just want more of the TF epic to be told. My own fanfic deal with some of those gaps, mainly Elita-1 and her crew. As for Snarl, maybe he took a nap in Op's trailer and got stuck in subspace for the battle.  

 

And when Prime died, he would've been stuck in subspace. But then he somehow he made it into season 3 a few times. Maybe he found his way out on accident?

I'd like to see where the Combiners were as well, along with Omega Supreme. OOC wise though, the reason the combiners weren't in the movie is because they hadn't been created yet when the movie went into production.
