The main problem with escalation is that players don't seem to get the part where they should stay together.
It works somewhat in Broken Hope because the outlines of where you are supposed to be are so clear and you can't go collect the little energon shards without having to climb back up a floor. In other maps, especially Remenant, people don't know where to hold ground and just follow a machinegunner to the other side of the map.

Broken Hope still has its moments when some idiot goes on top of the broken bridge even though the rest of the team is still alive with at least one of them not being able to fly because the bots only have 3 flyers.

And then there are the asshats, one host quit on 2 players and me just as I solo'd wave 39 and another guy, hotrodimus something, actually picked up a scrapheaper I had to rebuy after he got me killed on the last enemy of the previous wave by standing next to me and letting the splash damage of a tank rapid fire hit me, even though those were my last points left after I spent over 3000 of them buying overshields and weapons for the team for several waves. This resulted in us getting wiped.
These guys just ruin it for everyone.

Anyhow, PSN is Round_Dice if anyone wants to add me, no mic atm, but I have no problem with skipping the stealth characters so others can play as them and the first weapon I get is the heal ray.

Speaking of idiots, today I died because someone forgot how to revive or some shit. I was down in broken hope and an Arcee player just walked around my body and didn't even attempt helping me. Kinda pissed me off so I sent him a message simply titled "wth??". Never messaged me back.  

 

I've never had experience with douche bag players who thing they're the greatest and everyone should be like them. Thankfully. And I hope I never have such an experience.

I'm not the greatest player out there, I know that. But I think I can do well enough. I do try my best to revive players when ever I can. Air Raid comes in handy then, what with his cloaking and flying technique. I also try to open the odd door here and there, and I do my best to stick to the team. But reading through this thread I think I may need to up my game and do a bit more than I am.

Oe thing I do hate though are players who walk right past you when you're on the verge of dying and need reviving, especially when its a player whom you yourslef have revived ten times previously. I tend to get that alot.

There are also some hackers or exploiters in Escalation. I see way too many people magically being able to break the glass door behind Megatron's hologram in Broken Hope and fliers flying out of the level in other levels. It is just fricken annoying.

 

The glass dome can be broken. I'm not sure how I did it as I only did it once. Just shot the hell out of it. Haven't been able to do it since.
There's glitches in the game that allow players to get outside the map. I haven't tried as it doesn't interest me but neither of these are hacks.

The glass window breaks when it detects a player entering a part of the map that is marked as inside of the 2500 room.
The player here glitched out of the map and went into an area which the game registered as the 1000 hallway connected to the 2500 room as he was standing right above it and thus broke the 2500 window.

It's a nice glitch for getting healing granades early and the room is pretty nice from a defensive standpoint because it doesn't have 2 more doors this way.

The best room is still the overshield room when you don't open the thermo bomb way up to it and wait for wave 15 to open the 400 door to the 2500 door area as the tank breaks that bridge and lets you have a room with only 2 ways for the enemy to enter and 2 ways for you to get out, as opposed to the 2k room which has 3 ways for the enemy to get in.

If you however fly up the to the oversheild room in the part where it connects to the ammo room you can open the door without needing to open the ammo room from bellow giving you the safest room to shoot from.

I played WFC Escalation last night on PC (first time I've played the game since last August thanks to all of the hackers) and I'm one of those terrible players lol.
I keep joining during wave 15 so I have no guns and no points to heal/ammo with etc, but I did revive a few people...if only because they were way more skilled than me.
I did however cause a hacker to quit team death match when I kept killing him with my scout...too bad he was the host =/
Wonder why i'm so good at one and so terrible at the other...oh well, just glad to see people still play, and there are less hackers on PC, gotta love running into a scientist sniping you from above with a rapid fire unlimited ammo no reload time null ray...blah!

 

@Idon, you're PSN name is familiar, I think I've played with/against you a few times.

What's worse is when a flier needs to be revived and is stuck in jet mode. For some reason, they keep moving around and firing, EVEN THOUGH I PUT A BARRIER IN FRONT. For some reason when they move around, the Revive option goes away so I have to move forward to try and revive. And the idiots who think I should go revive them when I'm surrounded. I'm trying my best you know.

I was on Escalation yesterday, and these guys quit the game because my Sentry was getting all the kills. They were screaming on their mics to stop it. I deployed 2 Sentries at a time to annoy them. Then the host quit. Bad move.

 

The last time I played escalation I turned into a static camera couldn't do a thing...

 

A few days ago I was playing and somehow one of my teammates accidentally took my overshield and then realized what they did and bought one for me to have. Now that's a good person! My PSN is canacani.

 

Dude Im with you there I hate people that think they can say whatever they want to me just cause there on XBL, Kind off topic but some guy accused me of camping in a coner in Black ops just becuase I have turtle beaches and hered him coming. he abuses me and says that its sad that I need Turtlebeaches to be good.

On topic I really do enjoy escalation but always have to play it by my self as most people on the servers are mean   they never help out and always run away, don't reviev me or don't open anydoors. I was playing with one random who would follow me around and steal my kills after I had weakend them so I unded up with no points and could not buy very much.

A good statagey that I like to use as it might help others on the boards here is if im the autobots I liike to be Arcce or Air raid as they have the cloak abbility. You can buy overshileds ammo guns etc with the cloak abbility active so it comes in handy, you can also reviev teamates with it acive as well so it is a useful abbilty. I pefer to be Arcee over Air Raid as IMO I find that the Shockwave abbilty is more useful than whirlwind.

Also For anyone that might not no how to play by themselfs go to host a game and change it to invite only you can then pick a character map and play by yourself.

I might be stuck playing with randoms though becuase none of my friends have any transformers games cause there all "Too Cool" to play them and would rather waste there time playing Call of duty 24/7

 

Anyone know a good place to set up as a 'base camp' for either Remnent or Static? Autobot maps in general are far easier but there is...one notable exception out there *shudders* With the Decepticons however the maps seem to prevent any real camping or base play. The best matches I've had were me and a group sticking together and moving around.

I still remember one of the best I had in District, all four of us were fliers, the only time we landed was to heal and reload lol.

 

why is it that people love stealing stuff? i understand they are desperate to get what they need to survive, but to me that is just more of a drive to kill the enemy. and that following someone around like a annoying little brother shit is just irritating. i know someone else did this but allow me to do it again...

Rules of escalation

-dont talk shit, thats the quickest way to not get revived

-be a team player, help out those who need it.(buy things for newcomers if you have 3000+ points, revive players, especially if they r the MVP of the game)

-dont steal others things, another fast way to not get saved

-if you dont know what doors to open, DONT OPEN THEM. opening all of the doors, especially in broken hope, is a great way to get flanked.

-stay within reasonable distance from the team. its common courtesy for those who have to come save you

-dont host a match if you dont plan on playing for at least an hour

-dont leave the map unless your a damn good sniper and plan on sniping

-dont be bossy over the mich. its annoying. even though your the only voice, yoou will/might be ignored. some helpful tips, comments, or requests are fine but this isnt the fu#k%ng army

-if you arent talking through your mich TURN IT OFF. the game has its own music, we dont wanna hear yours.

-dont be stupid

 

Ugh, I hate it when people do that. That actually happened today. Same player 2 matches in a row constantly followed me around and stood right next to me every time I was buying health or ammo. And he kept melee attacking me, too. Dunno why.

The place I go is usually in a corner area. In Remnant, either the Overshield room or the place where fliers fly out the course.

 

Thanks dude, still having...issues with Pulse, the scant few times I can even get people to play that map. Its hard, yeah, but its not like it can physically hurt you or anything, I swear people are such babies, if you dont play Broken Hope its nearly impossible to get anyone.

For the most part I agree, but there have been a few times where everyone was lone wolf playing and needed to be herded in you might say. You'd be surprised what one good leader can do with a group lol.

 

i'm pretty good at escalation, but have a ps3, haven't played in a while, but last time i played one friend and i made it to wave 23 on bh by ourselves, i'd rather play pulse or one of the other newer maps, but he doesn't have them
