haha. Totally awesome! They saw the market created and dominated by the overpriced Crazy Devy, and got in the game. I don't know why I'm so surprised it's happening. This is great, and the Devy options keep rolling in.

Sweet, I like C.D. stuff, but they're redic over priced. I sell Transformers, and Devastator costs less than half of what it costs to buy all the C.D. assec., wheres the logic in the add ons costing more than the toy???

    G1 Constructions: outrageously mass-produced.
    CrazyDevy: limited production runs.

FYI - Most add-ons cost more than the toy they are made for.
    Magnus Armor
    Roddy Armor
    Whirl upgrade
    Junkion upgrade
    TFA Arcee Upgrade
    All of Renderform Products
even simple head upgrades are close to the original like Gen Kup was $12 just to replace the head of a $12 toy

It's just the nature of the game. Most of the upgrades that are less than the original are for MPs, which start off with high price tags already though.

This one depends on price - if Maketoys is REALLY expensive, ala TFC - and this one is quite inexpensive, I would jump. I really like the scale of Maketoys and I'm hopefully that it all around better than the G1 combiner, which doesn't always hold together well and the head is awkwardly far back. But, if this creates a better G1 figure and is far less expensive, I would jump at it. Crazy Devy stuff is just out of my league in terms of price.

You know what, i'll be all over these if they can 1up the other companys stupid shortcomings that disappointed me so dearly:

    1) finger joints that don't fall apart when you look at them
    2) actual rotation on the legs
    3) one whole upgrade instead of expensive parting out (already solved, obviously)

if they make the head different enough might be worth it.

While I'm happy about the competition, it really doesn't contribute to the third-party pool. Crazy Devy is almost done (we hope) with Devastator; this company could do well to do something that no one else has done.

Going by the prices listed on CrazyDevy's site we have the following for all their Devastator parts:

    CDMW-01 $25.95
    CDMW-02 $34.95
    CDMW-05 $29.95
    CDMW-08 $25.95
    CDMW-09 $23.95
    CDMW-25 $18.95

    Total: $159.70

If this set comes in at 1/2 that or less I'm in.

There's only so much love you can give the old g1 combiners with out a complete overhaul. So Hasbro needs to face the fact that the people need some combiner reboots!

AND NOT THAT PCC CRAP NEITHER!

Mind that dinobots were a nice shot but even they come off as the bastard children of true combiners in the eyes of Transformer fans and their expectations when it's said in done.

Not sure. If the hand articulation is better than Devy's. Mainly the fingers don't keep falling off I may check it out. But, I have to admit. Devy already has them beat. I'm pretty happy with the Crazy Devy Devastator. So I'll have to see how much this costs.

$80-150 is a price we may like? Speak for yourself... I'd be in for about $30 or so...otherwise fuck it, I'll just stick with Herc for my fix and Encore Dev can remain unarticulated like the rest of the G1 figures he'll display with.
