Haha, thanks. The movie Die Hard.... is there no dilemma it can't solve? I think not. XD

That said.... Transformers Prime might just be the death of me (and my wallet), lol.

Only TF line I actually collect is Beast Wars Neo and I am missing lots of Kabaya and most of VHS. I know I won't be able to complete. I think I'll be very happy when I'm done.

Well, a few years ago, I had a huge collection of Armada, Energon, Cybertron figures, and onece I had leader class Optimus, I sold it. Then in 09 i started with a movie collection, which is larger than that collection by about 50, and I will have finished with that once I have the main movie autobots I need ( Leadfoot, Wheeljack, Dino if they make him) The HA Figures I missed, or haven't been released yet, and Deluxe soundwave with the rumored Dotm leaders. After that, I will feel a sense of completion. For me it isn't emptiness I feel, as I have finished collections of many other things, just TF's being one of the biggest. I feel like I finally reached the peak of my collection and I can now sit back and enjoy the fruits of my labor. That, and my wallet will finally get a much needed vacation ;P

For me when I complete a line of characters I want (mostly show characters) I try to catch up on old wants, also usually something will always come out that interests me so I haven't felt complete yet.

Ah, in that case I'll say this. I've completed a few lines and usually display them for a while after they end. Then they get boxed up and a new line gets shelf priority. I hope at some point in the future I'll have space to display most of my completed lines.

My collection is based solely on the figures I like, there's essentially no theme to itt other than affordability, so unless I can no longer afford my collection or hasbro decides to go back to making actionmasters I will continue getting what I like. :)

I got to the stage last year where I finally got all the G1 figures I wanted, I have to say it wasn't as momentous as I was expecting, but I think that was because my mind immediately focused on everything else I want that I collect (Classics, Marvel Universe).

I am very proud of my G1 collection though, and it's great to be able to look at it and not see any gaps. (Not that I've collected every single G1 figure, pretty much just the '84/'85 figures plus all the animal based toys.)

For me, I'm not sure if it will. I've needed the same 4 vintage StarWars figures and the same 5 G1 TF pieces for the passed few years... I see them for sale, and there's always some excuse I use not to buy them. "Oh, I'd rather have ____ right now" or "Oh, that'll be there later, let's wait" etc etc.

I can't decide if those reasons NOT to wrap this up have merit, or if I really subconsciously just don't WANT to stop collecting ;)

My intended collection is all show characters from an American aired series. This also includes all things related like MP, Classics and so on.

I dunno when I will reach the end, thats up to Hasbro. So far we have intended plans for 3 years + of PRIME and then who knows.

Between Hasbro, TT and 3rd party, I don't see the finish line yet so I have put zero thought into it. My real thoughts go more towards getting rid of the movie stuff to make room for more.

I guess when all is said and done I will go back and replace my less than MINT G1's and replace the very few figures (2 guns lol) that have some damage from other series.

Once I'm done that? I dunno, I will have an awesome display? I get to start working on spending money to display them even better? This is an addiction baby, just because the crack is gone that doesn't mean the addiction goes away lol

This makes sense too.... maybe when I DO cross the "finish line", I'll just start upgrading.

I actually have most of my intended collection, wrapping that up late last year or early this year (I forget exactly when now). Since then, I've been picking up new stuff that fits into "Had it already existed before I got back into collecting, I would've picked it up already" or old stuff that I've changed my mind on and decided it fits in my collection after all. When it comes to the latter, once some personal stuff is settled I'm hoping I can wrap those up by the end of this year or early next year, aside from a few very rare items (WST Thundercracker, a legit one, as an example) and focus entirely on new stuff in the forseeable future.

Being able to focus on new stuff only soon is a nice luxury, since I am starting to run out of room.

Pretty sure once I get my collection to the "that's it!" stage - which is still going to take a while due to my over-the-top grand plan - I'll just end up doing what I did the last time I supposedly had things completed: find excuses to keep adding to it. That's where the "just one more" literal plastic crack addiction comes into play, haha. So long story short: I don't think I'll ever truly be done... which sorta sucks.

I usually tend to sell off the pieces I actually don't play with/fiddle with/use anymore. I stick to the one year rule. If I haven't even looked at it in one year, I get rid of it. It also basically helps pay for whats new. Thats the best thing about TF's when it comes to "toys", they will never stop. There is such a wide endless background to choose form with TF's that there's literally something for everyone. If I ever get THAT bored, I'll go back and restart a Beast Wars collection or something.

Well, myself, I've completed my RID, Armada, Energon, and Animated collections (at least, as far as stuff released stateside [I'm looking at you, Blackout!]), so what I've done is just keep my eye on the Movies, Classics, and Prime. After those are reasonably completed, I'll go after MPs and Alts, and by then even something further might have come along too. To use a Furmanism, "it never ends".

Who knows, someday I might even go back to my Unicron trilogy stuff, and exchange the random repaints for the in-show paintjobs.
