I like what we're seeing. These designs look great, and the video teaser we saw reminds me of WFC, which is a great thing. Sure some things are different and I'm cool with that. Should these differences work, I hope HMS adds them to the next WFC. Good Transformers games are hard to come by. I say bring them!

"brawler" is a common class in MMOs. Probably based around a melee skill-set. Don't think it has much to do with the character "Brawl"

 

I see Brawler as such:
Tank (from Tank - Wowpedia - Your wiki guide to the World of Warcraft)
A tank is a character whose primary role is to absorb damage and prevent others from being attacked. Tanks are "meatshields", so to speak, putting themselves between the mobs and the more vulnerable party members. The tank's task is to hold aggro of the mobs to keep them off the other group members. With everyone nuking the same target (directed by the main assist), the mobs go down faster and there is less damage done to the group.

An often-used abbreviation for tank is "MT" (main tank). The tank's role must not be confused with the "MA" (Main Assist). Also used to contrast from a damage dealer or a healer.

In a classic tank-and-spank fight, the tank should be the only one taking damage, and therefore be the only one who needs healing. Even in more complex fights, healers should be able to concentrate mostly on the tank. If all group members need a lot of healing, either the tank is not generating enough threat or the other players generate too much. This is a common problem in unexperienced groups, one of the most frequent reasons for wipes.

*insert Wolfcastle* "That's the joke."   I know, but at first glance when I read the article I saw "brawl" and I got excited. And then I realized the context in which it was being used.

 

Booooo. I thought this was a new line of toys.

And again I'll say that WfC2's customisation will suck.

 

I don't want to go too off-topic, but maybe you might like RIFT a bit more. They've got a shitload of customization options from visual choices of a characters looks to the class-combination one can select. If this Transformers MMO could combine WoW's interface with RIFT's character creation and class combinations I could see it becoming one of the greatest MMOs of all time. Regardless of what they choose, I can see myself at least trying this MMO. My inner-nerd is curious as to what kind of RP potential this game might have. When I was a lad I did Transformers RP on a few MUSH games. Twas good times!

Tanks are good, but just give me a sniper rifle and a fast alt mode, and I'll be set.

 

Jeeze looks like Yellow Bulkhead, a cross between G1 & Animated prowl, Prime's Breakdown, and an Eradicon.

Not as intriguing as I'd hoped.
