Prime as truck looks hot. A Prime that LOOKS like a realistic truck -- it's been a while.

Megs' gun mode looks good. Seriously -- you all were expecting a Desert Eagle replica or something? Gotta give kids toys that won't make cops SHOOT AT THEM, y'know.

I can't tell enough from the pics to judge the bot modes, but they seem promising.

With a name like "Transformers Classics" I was hoping for something more g1 show accurate. Like a robotmasters line but better.

I just pray they don't "re-imagine" Hot Rod b/c they need to just make a G1 accurate robot mode. I can understand updating Prime b/c so many primes have come out that are good, and I can understand megs too b/c of kids w/ guns issues. However, I REALLY hope Hot Rod looks like G1 Hot Rod, but the images of the three classics I've see so far don't make me wanna hold my breath. :redface2:  I've seen enough Hot Shots to say that I don't want another wanna be Hot Rod toy!

Did some one say this already? "Prime is a Deluxe class bot alone but with his trailer he's a Voyager"

If they haven't, Prime will see two releases. Maybe he's a tall deluxe like Cybertron Hotshot is or BM Thrust. That was a tall Deluxe bot right there.

Prime looks okay from what I can make out but I'm scepticical about Megs. I like the fact that he is a gun again but the robot looks a bit off imo.

My thoughts as well. I know it's too early to start getting excited one way or the other, but my first thoughts are: "Where are the classics?"

Geez if there was contest for whiners, you guys would take the cake. I swear, if you guys don't get the moon you whine like babies, I'm so sick of coming on this board, to hear close-minded negative wannabe transfans that come here and fill these boards with spam and negative garbage. This whole thing about complaining about things like kibble and whatnot is just anal. When will you ever be satisfied? HasTakTomy could make the ultimate Transformer, 3 feet tall, motorized, transforms by itself, makes the G1 sound as it does, guards your house and does your laundry and you people would complain about the colors! Transfans have wanted a Neo-G1 line forever, and now that we have it, why must you people try so hard to poke holes in it? Do you really think that your negativity is good for the community? And for the record, I am getting this line, if only from seeing those three molds. I have been a fan of Transformers, both old school and new school. I have enjoyed all of the series except Beast Machines, which just sucked. Yes, I said it, deal with it. I have noticed a trend in Transformers, especially in the last several years. Just when you thought it couldn't get any better, it does. I thought that there was no more collection to be done after Energon, and then Galaxy Force blew me away. What I have learned is this: Transformers will continue to get better and better. Galaxy Force was incredible, Neo-G1 will be better, topped only by the movie line, which in turn will be shamed by the next series after that. In closing, I just want to point out that the Transformers legacy will continue, and that your voices in the minority will not change it. If you want your Neo-G1 to be actual G1, tough, Hasbro won't change it for you, I suggest you pick up kitbashing. If you really want to have Hasbro hear your pitiful pleas, take the advice I give to a four year old child: Take the whine out of your voice.

Arrrrgh!!!! What's with these lochness monster/ufo sighting photographs! How come every time an "important" toy is revealed it falls into the hands of someone who zeroxes the toy because he doesn't have a camera, and then faxes the zerox to someone who can scan and upload it? We never, ever, EVER get good pictures to begin with!!!

On a side note, I a little worried that Prime appears to have the entire truck cab hanging off the underside of his forearms.

You know, this is all definatly going somewhere. Why do people want the old stuff? I mean, yeah, I feel nostalgia for the old figures, but does anyone remember how the Re-Issue figures sold? The answer, they didn't. The only one I picked up was Smokescreen, because, at $0.95, it was worth the nostalgia. People at Hasbro and Takara sit at a desk all day and work specifically to come up with NEW stuff. Marketing 101, if you sell the exact same item for 20 years, soon your company will go bottom up. You HAVE to inovate to survive. If you people are so thrilled about picking up an undersized cruddy looking figure with no posability, let me introduce you to eBay. You guys seem shocked that Megatron looks different than he used to, well newsflash people, he's supposed to be different! You whine about kibble, well it's a necessary thing when it comes to making better alt modes AND robot modes. Wake up and smell the Energon, people!

The picture quality obscures a lot, but there's giant mounds of potential here. From these pics and Astrotrain, It's become apparent that these are all-new designs of classic characters (like BWX Megatron and Primal, for instance) with similar-but-different altmodes as well. They seem to be doing a pretty good job of keeping the "feel" of the characters beyond simple homages, even if Optimus has kibble on his arms, or Megatron doesn't have a slab-chest. Looks like the design of Megatron, with the 'boosters' in robot mode, make it likely he'll be a similar height at the head to Prime (assuming he's near-deluxe size when a trailer is figured into the mix). Hopefully the other Voyagers will be much like this as well, with the possible exception of Jetfire. Even if the vehicle modes aren't in scale, it'd be nice to have a line where the robots are all of a similar height.

Judging from what I've seen so far, It's a fair bet that Soundwave will be an audio device of some kind, but probably not a tape player.

Classic Prime and Meggie are beautiful!!

I hope only that Optimus is not like PM Prime or Galaxy Convoy but with a transformation more complicated.

Then, I think Megatron's "wings" are so big 'cause are full of electronics light & sounds... An electronic toy gun is cool for children!

And, if in this toyline the weapons are in disguise, where is Astrotrain's gun?

I'd like to see Soundwave as a 1:1 scaled iPod. That or a PSP.

It's not your reimagining of him.
And Megatron most certainly DID have two arms. And two hands. Even on the toy.

EDIT: Sorry Butz, missed your reply.

And people, relax about the polly-wally-crappy pics. Have you ever heard of the concept of teaser pictures?

Oh noes!!!!1111 The pics are terrible, they will sucketh!!!!

Cheese & rice, have some patience.

Oh the irony. Your whinge is longer than every negative comment in this thread put together.

As for the pictures, they look ok. They're not what I was expecting from a classics/G1-revamp line though.

Loving both and Megs is a Gun! Not a tank, not a dino, he's a GUN! Nerf or Judge Dredd I'll be getting him. Also, I've always wanted a Prime of this truck design. This is the best news this weekend.:D

I'm torn. They look like nice toys but I don't see where the "classics" part fits in.
I was expecting something on a level between Robotmasters and Masterpiece with G1 accuracy or an updated but recognisable G1 look. Prime fits that pretty well but Megatron is leaving me meh-ish. He doesn't look even remotley related to G1 Megatron.
