Mine is like that too. With a bit of excessive force, you can make it flush. Try at your own risk.

mine is the same, but if I remember right, I kinda bend the car hood down a tad and it pops right in. It IS excessive force...but it works, and is VERY solid when done

So is this a "true" leader or kind of an "almost leader?" It just seems obvious that between some of the detailing and the giant backpack that it was done by a different team or without as much love as the others.

The giant backpack aside, its a separate accessory after all... The figure itself I think is a good Leader figure of Bumblebee.. I don't understand some of the negativity the figure is getting... Its pretty impressive.. The mold is very good and I expect to see Takara doing a repaint with improved details and selling it as a movie masterpiece maybe....hmmm.... Its my biggest Bumblebee figure so far, followed by the HA BB... This would also probably be my last movie BB figure..

That pic really reminds me that we still don't have a good version of BB in his POS 70's Camaro incarnation.

That's really the only way that Hasbro could get me to buy another movieverse Bumblebee at this point.

Agreed... The best 70s Camaro they came up with at the time was the one from TakaraTomy which had clear blue windows as pictured, on an otherwise same mold as Hasbro's..

Btw, I think LC BB looks better in person than it does in photos.... Now I gotta get my hands on a LC Ironhide.....!!!

Man, we still need a Bumblebee without a super-gimpy arm cannon.

Yeah... If there is one flaw in his robot mode, its his damn cannon arm.. An arm that can transform into the cannon would have been great..

the head proportions are way off. I think a bigger head is needed. And why does bumblebee can't have first articulation.

Arghh. Leader Bumblebee's left arm broke last night. I removed a weapon from his shoulder armor and the armor came with it. Then I realized that the arm is separating right below the shoulder joint. Then I saw it...a large crack right above the shoulder armor attachment point. This figure has not been transformed very often since I got it for father's day. Two days ago was the first time I ever stuck a weapon into the top of the shoulder armor. Not sure if I should try to glue it or buy another one, I really like this mold. I will get pictures tonight.
