Here's 2 of the many guitars I own.....if anybody is interested both are for sale as I have acquired a guitar I have wanted for a while and it set me back a good amount of cash. Both are USA made guitars.

Got a 2009 Rickenbacker Fireglo a few weeks ago and I love it. It needs a few tweaks, one in particular is the G string, but it should be an easy fix. I just gotta put it down long enough to take the strings off and reset the bridge. Since I've taken these pics I've put the original pickup guard back on it. Looks much better with it on instead of the plexi replacement that the original owner had used.

Sweet ric. Always been fascinated by them, but somehow they just don't fit my hands right when I actually try them.

    Love that color though.

Thanks, NF. It's gonna take some getting used to for me. My hands are a bit on the small side, but the good thing about the rics are that the neck is pretty much uniform all the way down unlike a lot of other manufacturers.

I used to have an electric bass but that is long gone. Would you guys be against me getting pictures of my friend's guitars and posting them?

I dont play or anything but i got this when i did some demo work on a house. Found it upstairs in a tiny bathroom and the owner said go ahead and take it :)  so far i was offered close to 4 grand for it so it must be rare or something so i decided to hold on to it. A buddy of mine that plays uses it from time to time and says it sounds great .

Nice LP gold-top. A deluxe too, judging by those mini-humbucker pickups. Looks like it was well cared for, you know, up until they left it in a bathroom to be demolished. Thanks for rescuing it. If you ever decide to sell it, make sure you do some research first. The serial number on the back of the headstock is usually helpful since Gibson keeps a large list of numbers that you can look up online to see when the guitar was manufactured.

Les Paul deluxes aren't exactly the rarest guitars since they were introduced in the late 60s and manufactured all the way through the mid-80s, but with guitars, when they were made can be more important than how many were made with regard to value. It could be a more recent reissue since that's been the cool thing to do with classic guitars for the past 10 years or so. In any case, keep it safe and save any and all accessories and paperwork that came with it, if any. Also, if you live somewhere with drastic temperature/humidity changes, and you're just storing the guitar in its case, it's a good idea to loosen the strings a bit by de-tuning them. That will help prevent the neck from warping. Thanks for sharing.

That's what I'm thinking! I'm just happy to look at them and it's a bonus to discuss them. Most of my trips to guitar stores for literally half my life involve just looking at beautiful guitars.

Well I stopped by my friend's house today and he said I could take picture of his music room. He has ties to the music industry (which was how I met him) and he used to play in bands. Sometimes he gets comp tickets from people he knows that still works with bands too.

You guys will love the custom painted room these are on... Sorry for blurry cell phone pics. and also that I don't know what these are or anything. Heres the first one.

Here's the next wall. He wanted me to edit out the picture on the wall so here you go
    [IMG]

Here's another two on the opposite wall
    [IMG]

And here's the last one, with a bunch of autographs on it. In fact all the photos shown in these pics are autographed by the bands they represent, except the family photos of course!

He also has another guitar but its the one he plays for fun. I didn't think of taking a picture of that one while I was there. Hope you like them!

    Big bottom bump.

I know this is a bit of thread necromancy, but this young lady turned up on my doorstep today and I had to let her in.

Waiting for the courier to get here felt like being a kid watching the clock on Christmas morning. Worth it though, this thing growls.

Nice. Neck-thru? I love the way some of the neck-thru guitars and basses I've played over the years just meld the neck into the body without any transition. I also like the tight bottom and punchy mids neck-thrus seem to have.

    Plus, they just look hawt.

Yeah, Neck-thru. The neck to body transition is so smooth, easier than on most of my guitars. Makes hitting the 24th fret a breeze.

I've still got to play around to see what sounds I can get out of this, but it does aggressive very well.

... and I agree on the looks, one of the reasons I went for it. Unfortunately the pics don't show the 5 ply neck stripes that well as both lots of wood are fairly pale and the sunlight was quite bright (for once)

Here's my Dean ML Phantom, and my bass my freinds bought for me from a couple kids that were walking through the alley behind our house for $30.

    N-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice!

I've got a Squier Stratocaster coming in today. It's a brown sunburst beauty that I hope will have the Jimi/SRV tone on tap. :D

I know it's $120 but really? As long as it plays well, I'm alright with it. :p

Some of those squier strats can be cranked into top shape with very little effort. If you know how to do setups, it's a matter of patience. Frets are level? You're pretty much golden.

    Hope you got a keeper.

The whammy bar is great for divebombs (a little TOO sensitive?), the strings stay mostly in tune, the pickups are excellent, the finish is... dare I say it, orgasmic, and the overall feel of the guitar is amazing.

Really wish the action wasn't set so high, though.
