Just can't get "There's panic in the streets of London..." out of my head this evening.

Just, please, don't let them get at a Tesco until I've bought Hatchet.

Apparently the (not huge) Tesco in the next town across from me is being 'upgraded' to a superstore or something.

All the surrounding villages are going apeshit about it - and this is the kinda place where the countryside alliance get beatings when they show up on their horses. I give it 41 seconds before someone torches it.

Yeah, Cobra's a governmental emergency committee. Doesn't stop there being somebody in a blue helmet and face plate at the head of the table.

Dayum, I don't look at the thread for 24 hours and many many pages appear (plus ghost page has vanished!).

Finally pursuaded myself to get one of the Maine wide extra deep bookshelves from Argos today. Definately worth it, the extra depth really does help with the displaying of my Classics. The only downside is maybe a bit too tall for a short ass like myself (really hoping Primus doesn't decide to take a nose dive off the top).
Just need a couple more now so I can spread out my classics collection and get my Alts/BTs out of storage, but that'll have to wait till I've moved in with my better half.

@Bovril - Obvious things I can see are th custom WWI Grimmy, it looks like you've improved Ironhides low self esteem.... and some have additional guns, but after that I'm at a loss.

@MB - I'd offer to help, but I'm still improving my styrene scratch building skills (plus currently have bugger all styrene left). I'd definately drop HeiroftheDog a line as suggested earlier in the thread. Alex is great at styrene work.

On the subject of the Tracks/Wheeljack; yep they are both great. I picked up a spare of each and they will become Runabout and Runamuck. Though I may wait to see if Wheeljack appears in any future Generations case assortments and get another for the Battlecharges and use the Tracks mold for one of the Omnibots whose name currentlt escapes me.

Keep a look out for any Branches of Tesco in France as they have a Mini-con 8 pack exclusive a lot of people would really like - myself included.
Might make you some pocket money -that said I think the set was quite expensive originally up to 38.00 Euro.

I was completely unable to find one and they only came out in 2 or 3 countries - which is vexing when yopu like Minicons to not be able to find something that's retail is irritating - you expect it with TRU campaign toys - not something from Tesco

    ---

I can't swear to it but I "Think" None or Default in an address means someone didn't use one of the lines when imputing an address.
So I'd guess 'Non' is the same.

You could try google earth see what it comes up with address wise.

Those without silver faces have been remedied (scourge still needs doing, mind)

Straxus has done away with that random piece of kibble on his axe/cannon

Drift has a hard plastic replacement sword, painted up. Improves him no end!

And of course, Kup has the Cygar head :)

Galvatron is AWOL, I decided he needs 'renovating' to be up to the classics standard.

I'm never lookin' at your collection thread again GTF, it's always expensive when I do!

    Jesus Goddamn mutherfukking Christ.

Last night I was out in Edgware to visiut my Gran, then up the A1 to the Morrisons for some groceries for my folks to take back to HK, and then across the roundabout to the Harvester.

The Harvester had been closed because 'rioters' (looters more accurately) were in Barnet, just down the road. Apparently it was only 15 or so, but the panic in the Morrisons while we were shopping was palpable.

Afterward we went to the Harvester in Mill Hill (my Dad really fancied a Harvester for some reason) and just when we were leaving they were closing early too. Got home to see the news and Croydon was up like a bonfire.

Total utter madness, looting is bad enough but setting fire to peoples homes, businesses and cars for what? Because you don't have one? Bastards, utter bastards. I'd like to say more about whats going on but I know I'll swiftly veer into political discussion so I won't.

Needless to say an immediate solution would be to cut mobile phone networks in trouble areas and then kettle their asses. Public backlash at 'police brutality' be damned. I want to sleep soundly tonight.

I'm just glad I'm out in the south east at the moment. On the TF side, just won a WST Arcee on eBay last night :)

Thinking of buying cyberverse Shockwave if he'll be available in the US..
On the subject of these riots, I don't see what point they're trying to make, looting all these shops, banks and so on just shows that they're lowlifes who are not painting a pretty picture of London, and we're supposed to be hosting the olympics next year! This is absolutely barbaric and pathetic- I mean the family of the person shot by the police even pleaded for everyone to stop the riots. I'm most probably much much younger than the rioters but I don't see the need to cause destruction that ruins lives! I hope the police can handle this before it escalates even further.

The riots remind me of the 80's; Tories in power, world recession, riots in London and of course, TF's on the shelves!
I think it was referenced in DOTM that a whole generation are growing up with no prospects, that's what it's all about. They're just kids with nothing to do. That said, perhaps if the government hadn't stripped the police force to the bones, they'd be able to do something about it. Either way, when that torrential rain hits at the end of the week, it'll all come to a halt.

Nah, it's nothing like the '80s. There's no GI Joe, Tron or Nightmare On Elm Street.

    Oh.

    Wait.

At least people aren't wearing tassled loafers without socks, listening to synthpop and getting undercuts.

    Lemme try again.

At least Iron Maiden and U2 aren't still going.

    Shit.

There's no excuse for looting and burning other people's property. Hell, I just watched a video of the scum mugging an injured teenager who could barely stand.

They need shooting the lot of em. All this is just an excuse for the lazy to get what they want with none of the hard work the rest of us put into life.

@mark h- got your pm mate, bro's with his lass at the mo so when she goes off for a shower or whatever I'll let him know.
