Eeeeeeeeh......

 

Wow those are some out there designs. Interesting, but not sure how I really feel about them.

 

  Megatron is horrible

Optimus isn't much better either.

 

Should I laugh or be mad?

 

Meh. I don't hate 'em, and they're obviously skillfully done, but they come off to me as what you get when you take anime-based designs from another source, and swap around some details and colors to look kinda transformer-y.

That Optimus is scarier than the god damn fallen.

 

Those two are uglier than all of the movie designs combined!

 

They've almost got kind of a ghetto street graffiti look going on. Especially Megatron.

I always love how people ambiguously use "Anime" to describe how certain art styles dont fit in with Transformers.

 

Yeah. Never seen any anime like this.
Maybe even Lovecraftian - but TFs are stuff from depths of space that lived for many many years before humanity  

 

Was this at someone's Artist Alley table? Do you know who the artist was? Ought to give credit where credit's due.

these are really cool what-if takes on megs and prime... They scare me a little.... but Megatron's cod-piece scares me more.

 

Megatron, in my opinion, looks too much like this:



And not enough like this:



or any other Megatron for that matter.

Also, that trigger...  

Optimus is a bit better, but as I said earlier, not a whole lot better.

 

I like 'em, personally. It's always great to see stylized re-imaginings of Transformers rather than rehashes of the same design over and over again. Wish I knew who the artist was! (hint, hint)

 

Hmmmm well....

Usually, I'm all for new TF incarnations, but these are.... so-so-ish...
Optimus could work... if they didn't make him look like he was punched in the guts. Megatron, however, needs to be redone altogether.  

 

those are really unique as far as transformers looks are concerned. also what everyone sees as megatron's crotch i think is actually the hilt to a sword

I just think it's funny how everyone just automatically starts hatin on everyones work. I personally think these are awesome looking. Everyone posting the comments that "these r horrible, or need to be redone", those people are mad because they are not the ones that came up with the designs. Quit hatin and realize that other people have talent, and just because you don't, doesn't give you the right to put it down like that.

I'm not saying don't give criticism, there's Nothing wrong with criticism in a constructive manner, but don't put everything down just because your not the one to come up with the design.

I think these look good, and I would like to see more from this artist
