Has any of you watched Transformers G1 from the begining till the end? Meaning watching it straight from G1 episode 1 MTMTE till Headmaster episode The Last Showdown On Earth, with TF:TM between season 2 and 3and throwing in Scramble City right after season 2. Now that would be something cool.

I am actually attempting to do that as we speak. I have a long way to go.

Not to mention major continuity errors with

TF:TM, Scramble City, Five Faces of Darkness
    Rebirth, Headmasters.

I would not be surprised if someone did that. People have watched all 6 Star Wars movies back to back, and the same will happen with the Harry Potter movies once 7B hits DVD.

I know very little about the Japanese series, but isn't Headmasters supposed to start after Return of Optimus Prime, completely ignoring The Rebirth?

I did, in a 4 week hospital stay.

I was pretty much tied to the bed.

But I did all of the US G1, trew Bw and BM.

I then went on to the Japanese g1.

I've watched all the US TF G1 series (G1, BW, BM) straight through (several eps a day). Don't have access to the Japanese stuff, & my head injury doesn't like Subtitles, or when I have money I'd get the Shout! releases...

Which is the biggest reason for a continuity error. If Headmasters fit into the US G1 series it wouldn't ignore any of the episodes let alone a complete season.

Yeah, Headmasters ignores "Season 4" out right. There're also 2 Japanese series of Beast Wars (BW II & BW Neo, I think they're called) that can't be reconciled w/ the original either, each taking place between the 3 seasons of BW.

Didn't Japan also have something that they made not knowing about/ ignoring the '86 movie? I can't remember, but it seems there was something...

Sort of....all 3 G1 Japanese series were produced beforte they got the 86 film.

But what Takara knew and didint know about the film and its events is debatable.

For example, I, and many, believed that the reason we see Prowl in the Japanese Headmasters series was because they didnt get the film and didnt know Prowl died.

But someone on an other site proved to me that they indeed knew Prowl died, and yet they still used him in Headmasters.

I'm working on that now, but I don't have everyting. I'll end up skipping Headmasters (its PAL) and Armada (its packed away) and I'm currently on G1 season 2.

Scramble City, whch comes in both animated and stop-motion-toy flavors is their semi-Movie-replacement product.

And BWII and BWNeo are completely reconcilable with BW, since they take place on Future-Earth and in Future-Space, but they are a little sticky to reconcile with BMachines.

Not that that stopped Hasbro AND Takara for just cramming them together anyway! (US-edition of Magmatron makes it clear he's the same dude from Neo, leading the "Dinobot faction" back to BMechs Cybertron. Takara just pasted it all together in their grand unified timeline without a second thought)

No kidding! I sooo miss the days when I had time to kill and needed to do things like marathon-series-watching just to fill my days.

    Ahhh childhood.

Not to imply the OP is a kid, (s)he might be, but (s)he might have an entirely different situation. It's just that my only time-void days were when I was a yout' :)
