Sorry but I just don't like this argument that if something is based off a kids cartoon then it's okay to have bad scripts, bad characters, or any other flaws. Batman is based off a really old comic book series where a grown man thinks dressing up like a bat will scare criminals and he's out to stop a criminal running around in clown makeup. Batman even had an ultra silly super campy live action TV show back in the 1960's. Yet we still got the film The Dark Knight based off silly concepts from a comic book. Or heck just look the Pixar films. Yea they are made for kids but they are better written with better characters than most of the more adult movies out there. Just because there is kid appeal it doesn't mean it's okay to be bad.
oh, sorry shouldve clarified. Its basically for reasons to do with G1, you know, how megatron had left cybertron in shocky's care. i know i know this is bayverse, i just had assumed that he was coming in with a full invasion force from home planet. Still is awesome how it is now.
I dont like Shockwaves look. His body type doesn't really fit him and I'm worried he's gonna have the personalty of Energon Shockwave who at least had the look.
Honestly... Optimus' speech in DOTM, dont get me wrong its epic and i love it but it was just too short for me personally. Thats it other than in ROTF the airbags deployed twice in the van that mikaela was driving, but that wasnt supposed to be noticed so... other than that theyre perfect in my eyes
- the scripts of the first and second movies - MichaelBayisms in general - compare Armageddon, Bad Boys II, etc... - most of the designs - Cyco Optimus in the third movie
I'd say the overwhelming presence of movie toys in general since they are the only Transformers line from Hasbro with new stuff right now and I have to worry that retailers will move enough movie toys to make room for the Transformer Prime toys.
^This plus a few other things. 3 The abrupt endings, 4.Megatron's entire plan over the three films. 5. How Stupid Sam and the people around him are. Excluding the army guys. 6. How no one cares when someone dies except for Optimus Prime. 7. Ironhide's death. 8. No Ultra Magnus or Rodimus. T_T as well James Avery's Silverbolt and Bill Faggerbakke as a Wrecker,
That Michael Bay has no clue how to create a real bad guy(s). The only hint of true evil was in TF1 with 1)Barricade being a police car, which is sinister and... 2)Everyone talking about Megatron while he's frozen, then he melts and says "I am--MEGATRON!" ROTF, DOTM, there were no real villians--The Fallen, Shockwave, Devastator....completely wasted because they just sat around until it was their turn to die. Only Sentinel Prime was good, he said stuff AND did stuff, unlike the other baddies. I thought the war on Cybertron was some serious shit...turns out that the Autobots just needed the US. Military and everything would've be saved. Lastly, it seemed that they introduced new characters just so they didn't have to kill the old ones. Jetfire was new, he died but that was with the story...but Que, Arcee, (the Twins if you count them) they were just added to be killed. IMO Ratchet should have kicked it (OP can't die, and ppl love BB. No original Autobot left) LASTLY--Optimus and Megatron needed a longer last fight (this has been discussed to death so I won't say more) Other than that, I thoroughly enjoyed the movies.
I just hate how nothing is EVER explained.... Once short dialog of Optimus and the humans could of explained so many things... the 2nd movie was a big pile of shit.... 2 many no name drones
