would you rather have Sentinal or Shockwave as main villain?

I know this sounds confusing, but would you have rather had saggy Sentinal and the unexpected cool plot twist or badass Shockwave and no plot twist?

Im sure the moon plot could of justified somehow without Sentinal being the main villain.

After watching DOTM, i don't think Shockwave even falls in the category of "villan". Sentinal Prime caught me at TOTAL surprise.

I'd rather go for the idea that, instead of Megatron, Sentinel made his deal with Shockwave.

I was fine with Sentinel being the villain. Shockwave has, and will have, opportunities out the wazoo at being the villain in past and future TF media.

I would have liked it if Shockwave was the main bad ass and Optimus wasn't powerful enough to take him on and have Sentinel show up to save Optimus' ass for once.

I really enjoyed Sentinel as the villain. Added huge depth to the relationship between the two Primes. Shockwave was an utterly throwaway character in the end, but really there wasn't room in the final cut for Sentinel, Megatron and Shockwave to all have an impact on the plot. Shockwave is there purely as a red herring, and it worked like a charm.

But overall, Sentinel wins my vote every time. Noble Autobot leader turning bad isn't something we've seen a great deal in TF lore.

    Sentinel in a heartbeat.
Don't get me wrong, I love Shockwave, but Sentinel was one heck of a twist, and I love getting surprised while watching movies, it's such a rare occasion these days.

Sentinal was a cool plot twist, but I definitely 1000% wish Shockwave would have been the main villain. For once to see a Decepticon gettin shit done would have been nice.

Shockwave would have been cool as the main villain...then at the end his worm could eat optimus prime...end of movie.

I honestly loved the idea that it was an Autobot who ended up being the main bad guy. Actually, I loved the setup in that it looks like Shockwave is going to be the main bad guy right off the bat, but then he doesn't show up again until Chicago, while Sentinel Prime ends up being the bad guy and does all kinds of evil, awesome stuff along with having a really bad-ass blade weapon and the rust gun, along with actually being a threatening main bad guy (Megatron didn't actually do too much aside from kill Jazz and die himself in the first film, and The Fallen wasn't explained well at all in my opinion). At least Shockwave got an awesome Voyager.

I would have been glad if shockwave was in the second movie and kicked some ass because then his screen time would have been justified in this movie imo. I like that Sentinal was he bad guy in this because I wanted to see how Optimus would react to his mentor going bad.

I think if Bay had mentioned more that Shockwaves worm was an extension of himself, and had shown shockwave order the worm to wreck havoc and to kill humans more, then most of us could say we was a villian. but because he had no lines it was hard to understand if he was

He did that, he just did that in Cybertronian but the movie makes pretty clear he is ordering the Driller to do his bidding, he looks at him and says:

"Ahwgurhshwrnaoerngameng COLOSSUS!" *Driller unleashes hell upon the building*

I'm thinking keep Sentinal, but cut the Driller. Then put Shockwave in the Driller's place.

    And with lines.

When I first read the spoilers about the plot twist I was disappointed that Shockwave wasn't the main villain. After I actually saw the movie, however, I thought Sentinel was so great that I wouldn't have wanted it any other way.

I liked the plot twist of Sentinel turning evil, but if you ask me, he should've been a secondary villain, with Megatron still being the main villain (it actually makes more sense when you think about it). As for Shockwave, I was a little disappointed with him, but I hope to GOD that they bring him back as the main villain for Transformers 4. I know a lot of people keep thinking "Galvatron," but that would be a bit redundant since they already brought Megatron back to life. Realistically speaking, Shockwave would be the logical choice (no pun intended).

I liked how they were trying something different for the series by having Sentinal be the bad guy. Breaks out from that idea that all the Autobots are good guys and would never do something evil when push came to shove.

Although I have to admit I am a bit disappointing that Shockwave didn't get a chance to really shine as the main bad guy in one of the films. Just feels like he would have been way better than The Fallen was.

Seeing as Shockwave was a slavering monster who didn't do much of anything, and Sentinel was one of the few characters in the trilogy who actually interested me, I'm happy with how things turned out.
