And Ratchet is just acting that way because he is hopeless, and got enough of this shit, he is basically going Rambo on everyone becayuse he is fed up [I even have a mental image of Movie-verse Ratchet with those war paintings on his face and a Rambo-esque knot on his head ]. Not all characters would be darker and edgier. I just need other suggestions for the main Autobot Team.
Elita-1 maybe? Since most Primes are on Cybertron (right?) she could be on Earth, seeking a way to save her 'bot. She would be an interesting character to write. In G1 she's very much the female counterpart of Optimus and they could be a light in the darkest hour. Will we discuss the humans separately or among their robot allies?
The humans [those that aren't nameless slaves or namaless refugees] would be with their Autobot friends, always. Elita-1 could be interesting, any concrete ideas for her personality?
Flatiron could work for the bruiser of the group Flatiron Once a student under Ironhide, now leads his own dangerous strike force for the Autobots. He always shoots first and never asks any questions, like his mentor taught him. He transforms into a Dark Red Ford Super Duty. Tough as they come, he shows little emotion, and is basically a war machine, focusing only on the task at hand. Mirage: Used in stealth missions, Mirage is a fast Black Mitsubishi Mirage Coupe(inconspicous car to avoid detection), that can cloak himself to avoid detection. His full of himself attitude was taken away by his failure which led to the capture of Optimus,Bumblebee, and Ironhide. and add Gridlock and Beta to the Prime's list. I think we should add some appliance cons and bots too like Refresher: A smart autobot given life by the Matrix. He and his team transforms into Sprite dispensors, PS3s, Pepsi dispensors, TVs, and Dvd players. Dewbot is a recon decepticon whos team consists of XBOX 360s,Laptops, Ovens, Microwaves, and Mountain Dew dispensors
Elita would be, I think, good as her G1 personality. Trying to keep the local Autobots running while Optimus is missing in action.
So main Autobot team: - Elita-1 [Leader]. A noble soldier trying to keep the Autobots surviving but also trying to keep their sanity. - Zeta Prime [second-in-command]. The silent commander of the team. - Ratchet [third-in-command?]. Bad-shit-crazy doctor, Elita-1 is trying to bring the old Ratchet back to no success. - Flatiron [Heavy weaponry specialist]. Bruiser of the team. - Mirage [Infiltration specialist]. That invisible guy.
That's a heck of a cast you all have already, and humans can muddy the focus, so I wouldn't have too many. I do like the idea of switching things up a bit.

I like that. Gives an opportunity for human-fans to have a character to like without dissolving into too many human-centered story arcs.
Pretty much, as this human would be like Verity Carlo is for the Wreckers [probably less battle-hungry, though]. I'm thinking in using some new Witwicky.
If you guys don't want to worry about it, I can take care of the Autobot's human ally. I'd probably be interested in doing a female Chip Chase-like character (that can walk/run), with maybe an exo-suit or some equpiment so she can fend for herself (within reason).
I'm thinking it may be interesting to have a 'Dylan' from DOTM? I'd happily go for that type of character if needed?
