With Headmasters being released, is it possible Shout! could acquire Scramble? Or was there something special about that copyright as there was with the movie copyright?
It was a commercial and really, has nothing appealing about it (at least to me). You can find it on youtube I believe.
A set of Scramble City and Zone would be awesome - as two single episodes they are often overlooked. Case in point, they are the only two vintage episodes I don't have "real" copies of anywhere in my collection.
Really? I'm surprised Sol, my UK Takara DVD collection (Headmasters, Masterforce & Victory) has the Zone episode as an extra. Scramble City I have as an extra on that Madman '86 movie Australian Blu Ray.
Same here. I'm kind of surprised that Shout! Factory hasn't done the same as what Madman did with ours. Odd.
Yeah, but that's a dodgy rip of a hardsubbed bootleg. Metrodome couldn't secure a master, and I rather doubt Shout will be able to either.
There's so little in the way of material in zone and scramble city, you'd expect them to be included as extras on another, larger set.
the single UK release of all 3 Japanese seasons had Zone as an extra that was sadly missing from the single releases... but really I've seen it before and I don't recall it being that cool... think of it as the Japanese equivalent of Rebirth as for SC I've got the fansub kicking around my HDD so I dont mind what happens to it but honestly apart from it being the only time the combiners mix and match parts I don't recall it being anything special
Well, I've already got Scramble City on my two disk version of the 86' movie, and Zone is included in a Japenese G1 boxset that I haven't bought yet.
Well, no, he's in Australia, so presumably he's got the Australian anniversary edition, which DID have audio, as did the UK version.
And don't forget the bizarre (in this day and age) standards conversion from NTSC to PAL that ensured the bootleg rip had a distinct green tint to it that made it look worse than the bootleg itself! All this on an official product we had the privilege of paying for!
