    Ill get right to it.

When Optimus busts out the matrix to revive Sentinal, Lennox says "the great matrix of leadership. The one thing in the galaxy that can revive a Transformer" (or something like that). I have 2 problems with this. 1. In the movieverse, its not the Matrix of leadership, it was a key to activate the Sun Harvester. (Right?) And 2. The allspark could have revived him. I know its destroyed but he could have said something like "The one thing in the galaxy that can revive a Transformer, sence the Allspark was destroyed". It just would have been a nice reminder and a way to tie the movies together. So basicly that aspect of the scene was annoying.

Also, when Megatrong is telling Starscream his plan was to meet up with Sentinal on earth until shit got fucked up so then he needed Optimus and his Matrix to revive him. :wtf:  So earth and Sentinal were in the plan the whole time? I thought... ahhh, it just doesnt work with the other movies.

Another gripe, when Ghoul is telling Sam how Soundwave and Lazerbeak have been on earth sence the 70's... mmmm maybe im missing something but that just doesnt tie in with the other movies at all.

Later, Sam saying the Autobots have no way of leaving earth. Ummm Didnt they just bolt to the moon and back like it was nothing?

Then IDK the whole Chicago invation thing and how easy the cons were pwned just was pretty weak.

Anyway Ill admit, im a fanboy, I liked it anyway. But this movie almost feels like a reboot, it basicly casts aside everything else that has happened up until this point. So yeah, on its own, its awesome. As a closing chapter of a trilogy, no good. And its really a shame because I want to love it, it just .doesnt. work. and it almost makes it unenjoyable.

Sorry about DOTM neard rage rant #6,256,891 I just had to get these thoughts out.

Oh and a coulpe of tiny things, I hate that new LP song, and I really hate how Megatron growls..

The Matrix is still the Matrix of Leadership. Just because it was used to activate the Sun Harvester doesn't change what it is.

As far as Megatron's plan goes, here's a summary:

This is also a good read and should answer all of your questions:

Yes, they did. But Sam didn't know that. He'd been left out of the loop on a lot of things between the two movies. The fact that the Autobots had a ship was news to him.

BLK-OUT 4500X, did you read my full post?

Its funny and really annoying how quick some people are to say stupid shit like " Stop being a big nerd , and stop picking apart the fucking movies just enjoy them for what they are it's not real life . So get over it already its not the fucking cartoons .
If peeople are like this why do they even watch movies cause there are all kinds of mistakes in all movies."

    Geeze.

I said I liked it, didnt I? Yes. So get off your pedestal, man. And you're right, these aren't the cartoons, which is kind of why most people would not expect them to have such plot holes to where you have to read up on Transformers Wiki to piece it all together. Also thats what these forums are for, fans to talk about transformers, good or bad, and everywhere in between. I had some complaints, fellow TF fans shed some light, and I said I feel better about it and I also admited where I was wrong. So get off my nuts.

Oh, and I actually thought it was real life, thank you for using your superior wisdom to clear that up for everyone who has had any complaints.

I know how you feel, Kraven. I really enjoyed the movie. I did, probably more then the other two. But as soon as the first trailer hit, regarding the moon landing and all that being a coverup for something, I had to roll my eyes at them shoe horning in something else that ties Earth to Cybertron and adding another layer to the onion of reasons Megatron was on Earth. But like you, I still enjoyed it and I've come to accept that the story lines are going to have holes.

    Heresy!

The films are flawless, cinematic perfection where all issues are resolved with just the right combination of films, prequel comics and novelizations.

If you saw something wrong with the film then you deliberately set out to find things wrong.

    Haters gonna hate.

Nitpicking a michael bay film is like writing a college term paper two hours before it's due. You know there's things wrong with it but just get through it.

Man, dont be a douch. Im not trying to find things wrong with the movies, and saying, I liked it, is hardly hating on it. I just had a few gripes. I can only hope your just trying to give me a hard time and that you're not another high and mighty asshole who only sees the word gripe, or complain and goes into flame mode. If you read through the thread thread its clear im not hatin' nor am I trying to find anything wrong. So anyway, if you are just kidding, im sorry. If not, I say again, dont be a douch.

Sentinel Prime was following the Allspark, so it's no coincidence that both the Ark and the Allspark are tied to Earth.

    ...

    @the second gripe

Sentinal was alive before, and he made deals with the 'Cons.

He went back and went into stasis, while the Decepticons waited for Optimus to revive him, so he could carry out their plan.

i know im guna get my nuts cracked for this but to be honest the movie shunt have plot holes, the plot of transformers is in my opinion so easy to understand and shunt be that hard to bring to live action, the only reason this film had so many plot holes was cus writers never bothered to read past scripts or look at the previous film/s, the fan base had that chore, we had to read comics in between just so we ha half a chance at understanding it.... dont get me wrong ..i loved the movie, loved it that much i went to see it twice but the plot just seemed mish-mashed, almost like they never had a full plan from movie 1

theres a flaw with that logic-they didnt know the matrix could be used to revive transformers until Sam did it to Optimus. so saying that they could have awoken it but used it for the harvester instead doesnt make sense.

thats a response to this part specifically:

I'm not arguing that, but watching the first two films, Megatron wakes and goes right for the Allspark. In ROTF he wakes and goes right to the Fallen. In this one, he knew Prime had to find Sentinel to bring him back to life to use the spacebridge to bring Cybertron to Earth. There is a way to make it all tie in and fit, and comics and fans have done that and me to in my own head, but the films don't explain it. Really though, I enjoyed the movie a great deal, all 3 have been 3 of the best movie going experiences for me, but I can happily talk about the positives and negatives without blowing my top.

I interpreted the "only object that can revive a transformer" thing as being because the allspark and all its fragments were destroyed/used up.
