    Wow. Definitely copied/ripped/'inspired'.

But as much as I like the TF scores by Mr. Jablonsky, it does not surprise me one bit. He's part of the Hans Zimmer studio, a guy/studio famous for copying, recycling and reusing material composed by others and themselves. Most of us love the music because we don't really know much about the scene, but seriously guys, Hans Zimmer is pretty much the Nickelback of movie scores. :lol

Which still makes it perfectly ok to like it, I know I do! But it helps to be informed. :)

I think Jablonsky's 2007 TF score was the best, felt the least 'copied' to me. ROTF and DOTM feature alot of cues that can be traced back to Gladiator, Pirates, Inception, The Dark Knight. All of these are movies scored by Hans Zimmer / people from his studio, so technically they're reusing own material, but that's pretty sucky. Or at least, it would be if I was a composer, but luckily I am not and I will enjoy the music because I'm easy to please! :lol

I haven't read your comment on there yet, but I really hope that you weren't posting there like some of the people in this thread.

Because the behaviour of some of the people railing against Hemsey in this thread is embarrassing.

Please do not tell me what I can and cannot hear and distinguish.

I have to kinda agree with jru42287. The similarity of the two songs is uncanny. While Zack is kind of blowing it out of proportions, it's understandable. What if you created an amazing sounding composition and were awarded with praise. Then a year later, some other well-known and talented artist changed a few notes and was equally praised. I would be pretty pissed.

Both songs are amazing in my opinion, and both deserve praise. However, I think Steve needs to step up and address this situation. If he does say he did copy it, I respect it. If he genuinely did not copy him, I will respect him as long as he addresses it, rather than ignoring it. If he choses not to, then, Steve, i am disappoint.

P.S. Isn't the above song from Madagascar? When Alex is in a dream of raining steaks? I love that scene. :lol

This might explain why I love his scores, slight variations on a theme appropriate to the movie.

Loved the Gladiator score. Easily a fav.

Don't know if this was mentioned (I haves read all the responses) but Steve Jablonsky used that low stab sound for the first movie score. Can't remember which piece it was in off the top of my head.

That sounds pretty heavily ' inspired ' . People should get over the fact Zack was being a bit of a dick, i would to if i found out someone took my track. It was edited and changed to suit transformers more but you can't deny that it sounds stolen. And people should stop saying that it just sounds similar by coincidence

Yeah, lol. I forgot about that. It's actually originally from American Beauty.

I always thought that too. Most likely Bay had that American Beauty track in as a placeholder while editing.

Then he said to Jablonksy 'I want something like that'. And thus, the 'similar track' was created.

I would bet this happened in exactly the same way.

Is it a rip off? Yes.

Will fan boy apologists deny it is in the face of the track sounding almost identical? They already have.

Ooops have I 'trolled' again?

Yes. Yes you have. And you still didn't answer my point.
