OK just a tiny nitpick from my part, That I JUST CANT wrap my min around when I think of it

How can:
Soundwave--two guns at most
Barricade--One wheel/tire thing cannon
around 6 protoforms --

Capture

Ratchet-- A saw and Machine gun
Bumblebee-- shoulder cannons, arm cannon, and kick ass karate action
Sideswipe--two guns, two swords, agile
Dino-- Two arm blades that are seem to used like God of War Kratos' Blades, and agile
Que-- Well though he NEVER grabbed a weapon, I am sure he is SMART and had a FEW extra bombs right?

Can SOMEONE explain this to me please????

 

6 Protoforms LEFT, for all we know, they could have used 300 Protoforms, 294 died beating the Autobots down, when the Autobots were defeated, the remaining six held the Autobot Prisioners alongside Barricade and Soundwave.

And Soundwave has sound blasts [those awesome blue things that flied towards the screen], he might have knocked them out briefly using that in a surprise attack.

 

Ahem. Theres probably far more then just 6 other protoforms. The decepticons probably ambushed them in vehicle mode and got the jump on them. Anything could have happened off screen.

 

Two words: Air. Support.

The Decepticons have a metric shit-ton of fighters flying around Chicago, not to mention several large warships. The Autobots don't. Sure Optimus shot one down before the Autobots entered the battle, but he had the advantage of surprise. It was hovering, not expecting an attack. Take away that advantage, the Autobots could easily be overpowered.

 

Not to mention the huge army. I would have been shocked if they weren't captured.

 

Yeah, I suspect that air sport would have played a part in the Autobots' capture as they were so many ships (at least to me) flying about in the movie.

 

thats the weird part. sometimes they gave you the idea there were loads of ships and protoforms, yet often the autobots were alone on a deserted street.

Soundwave played rebecca black and it made all the Autobots surrender , then forced them to watch Batman and Robin

 

It happened because that's what the writers wrote.

The thing is that the Decepticons had the advantage of the Autobots being surrounded by all this flying shit.

 

I got it. Laserbeak did his pink Bumblebee impression. The autobots couldn't stop laughing long enough to fight back. bumblebee was to ashamed to fight. or he stumbled around like he did in sam and carly's apartment. thus captured.

Seriously. with the vast army the decepticons had. it wouldn't be to far fetched for a few autobots to be captured.

 

I never understood why people think the movie needed to show this part in its entirety. They were fighting a whole city's army, I wouldn't be surprised they got overwhelmed.

 

The thing that bothered me about that scene is the Transformers all have their weapons built in and the prisoners clearly weren't 'disarmed' since, as soon the ship started to crash, Bumblebee and the others took advantage of the distraction and started shooting. So, if they knew Soundwave was about to start executing them, why not pull out the built-in weapons, make a last stand and go down fighting, rather than just waiting to be shot one-by-one? Given that, I assumed there was some reason why the Autobots weren't fighting back. The most logical explanation, to me, was that (off-screen) the Decepticons pulled out the card they use so often in every TF continuity: Surrender and don't try to fight back or we start killing these humans over here.

THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT!!! This is why I took the time to post every characters weapon!!

Though the human thing COULD and DOES make sense, We HAVE to remember that inside chicago was pretty empty (in some scenes, in others I was like really?).

 

On the disarming think, Soundwave might have "locked" their weapons with his hacking skills.

 

Yeah this part made no sense at all, extremely poorly edited and/or written.

Why were they captured? Why would they capture them, when they're KILLING everybody else? Why would the Autobots even surrender? They'd fight to the death.

Anyways, least favorite part of the movie, pulled me out of it big time. The stuff with Soundwave was awesome but as to how they got in the situation in the first place: complete crap.

 

Don't forget he Rickrolled them!

 

I bet the Autobots let Ratchet take command for a bit, and he bolted at the first Decepticon.
