Yeah i've noticed in the three movies that they have a similar story to some of the G1 episodes i don't know if any of you noticed it aswell, so here is what episodes i thought of.

Transformers 1: Transport to oblivion - The Autobots are defending the All Spark at all cost from the Decepticons its similar as in the G1 episode where the Autobots are trying to destroy the anti matter formula.

ROTF: Divide and Conquer - The Decepticons gang up on Prime to take him out as he falls almost dies and its up to the Autobots and Sam to save him as Sam uses the Matrix to rive him and he takes on Megatron and The Fallen, similar to that G1 episode where the Autobots had to go to Cybertron and get a new cosmotron to revive Optimus.

ROTF part 2: Changing Gears - Basically The Fallen wanted to activate the Mountain to destroy the sun and harvest its energy same as the episode where Megatron used a Solar needle to drain the Sun's energy.

DOTM: Megatron's master plan - Sentinal Prime told the Goverment that if they dont turn against the Autobots the humans will die, and so the Autobots/Human alliance ended and where forced to leave earth just like in the same episode where Megatron brainwashed the humans in believing the Autobots where evil

DOTM part 2: The ultimate doom - Sentinel Prime wanted to activate the Pillars to bring Cybertron into Earth's orbit just like in The Ultimate Doom where Megatron wanted to do the same.

    What do you guys think?

Nice observations, I didn't think that hard for 1 and 2, but DOTM was obvious to me.

Geewunners have no reason to gripe. :D  But they still will.

And the fact that G1 and the movies were both set in the present with robots disguising as real and normal everyday objects. All of the other series have been set in the future with crappy alt modes.

Don't forget Sam having the AllSpark in his head like Marvel Comics Buster and the Matrix.

I loved that they used old G1 for inspiration.

The Bayverse was more G1 than its fanboys said it would ever be- or could ever be.

They should hate the movies and call them silly to be consistant.

And the episode where Megatron uses Lincoln Memorial as a throne. Forget what the G1 episode was called, something about Atlantis I think.

    Edit: Atlantis, Arise!

So are we now allowed to freely argue against all the people that love dropping the "THIS ISN'T GEEWUUNNN!!" bomb every second day? :)

Good observations on TF1 & ROTF, but yeah, the influences for DOTM were definitely clear as day.

wow- you guys are just as bad as geewunners. they attack the movies for not being g1 enough whereas the few here are attacking the geewunners for having that opinion just as much.

i didnt like the movies- not because they weren't g1 enough (i was actually glad they weren't) but because i wanted them to go in a more serious direction like terminator. thankfully for the tf franchise- i am in the minority which i am also glad about. but i am so sick of us tf fans attacking each other for having different opinions on the films. the world isn't black and white. there is no 100% good and bad. right and wrong opinions. geez- i thought most of us would be old enough to figure that out by now.

ive now said my tired rant.
i need say no more and will stick with that.

I knew for sure that in DOTM that there was a strong nod to G1's "Ultimate Doom," but I had completely forgotten about "Megatron's Master Plan." *Facepalms*

I also liked that one scene where Megatron blasts Lincoln and sits in the chair in the Lincoln memorial, a nod to a similar scene in G1's "Atlantis, Arise!"

What do G1 fans have to do with getting the mains back on-line so the Enterprise can escape the Mutara Nebula? :D
