we all remember when Megatron says that to Starscream during the Hoover Dam scene in the 07 movie, right?

(I know that the writers of the movie had no intention of there being a third movie and what would happen in it, but) What if Megatron was talking about Starscream ruining/failing his plan with Sentinel by shooting down the Ark (as mentioned in the novel)....do you think that is a possible tie in?

it sure shows one tiny example of how the 3 films tie-in to each other...am i right?

    what do you think?

no i think that was just megatron treating starscream as a kid that is a dissapointment, as usual. i'm sure starscream has failed him many other times.

No, the way I see it, Megatron told Starscream that he failed him because he failed to get the All Spark before the humans and Autobots took it.

Since that part is strictly in the novel and there is no indication Starscream was pulling the trigger in the movie, no.

It was never established as a decepticon fighter either. Not to mention the missiles the fighters shoot at Optimus in Chicago are different then the one in the Cybertron scene.

I'm sure it was made to be starscream but they had no way of identifying him.

I thought the same thing. In the novel it is Starscream who shoots down the ark. Maybe Megatron is referring to SS ruining his plan to meet up with the ark.

    No, it wasn't a DOTM tie-in, it was clearly a G1-fan nod.

And it worked, because it was one of my favourite moments in the first movie.

Because its well established that Starscream is, frankly, a bit of a fuck up artist. To the point of a running gag almost, so Megatron calling him out on a failure is probably something you can set your clock by.

It took around 12,000 years for Starscream to find him and defrost him. If Starscream didn't have a loyal fanatical Decepticons in his team he would've left him there.

Plus as Megatron said he left him to die.

Starscream also wouldn't have bothered to resurrect Megatron but it was Soundwave who pulled through for Megatron eavesdropping on on NEST communications.

TF1 had the most comfortable sounding voice acting IMO, ROTF & DOTM have slightly exaggerated personalitys.
