    I rated it a 1

I thought it sucked and blew big chunks.

It would be zero if it wasn't for Chicago getting blown up and the almost good but 30 sec each fight scenes at the end

Solid middleground for me, so 5.

Great action, but editing is craptacular, plot not always cohesive and acting is very so-so.

Had to give it a 7. That looks low, but by comparison, I'd only give TF1 a 5.5 and TF2 a 1.5 out of 10. So it did alright :)

I gave it a 5, and probably graded it that highly because it's Transformers.

To me, the story's more important than the visual representation in nearly all forms of media. The story in all three was abysmal, though the first movie had a considerably better one than RotF & DotM.

I thought the CGI was excellent, though; and the voice-acting was fantastic!

    Have fun, all!!!

I gave it a 7. I found it better than ROTF, but that's not really saying a whole lot. I gave TFTM and ROTF an 8 and a 6, respectively.

I would've liked it better were it not for the awkward transitions between scenes. The pacing was flawed. I really hated the scene of Sam talking to his parents on the bus not long after Sentinel's betrayal. I felt that it was out of place and ruined the flow. Also, there's obviously some material that was cut out that I'm very curious about.

I guess I'm gonna have to agree with this. I LOVED every minute of it (see it in imax 3D or not at all!) and I gave it a 10, but I'd say as a movie there were some flaws. Regardless, I'm pretty sure it'll go down in history as the best of the three. There was the best emotion, the best effects, the most thrilling scenes, and it was the most adult.

I gave it a 6. I might have given it a 6.5 if that were an option, but I'm not sure that it could ever be a 7 for me, let alone anything higher.

It had some awesome moments and fight scenes, but it suffered from the several of the same issues ROTF had:

    -Dumb humor (the office scenes)
-Over the top human characters (Wang was utterly awful and made me miss Leo, Malkovich was wasted, and Dempsey was laughably bad)
-Choppy editing (the parents' scene after Sentinel's betrayal?! WTF?! That should have been cut, it was freakin' ridiculous!)

The Autobots deaths he shoved in to prove how "DARK" this movie is suppised be were quick, pointless and ultimately didn't matter because Bay has failed to develop the TFs and their relationships with each other and the humans they protect (he gets some credit for bringing back the Bee/Sam bond in this one though - but Spielberg already did the work for him in the first movie). Que's death was supposed to be horrible, but I felt absolutely nothing because he was barely in this film.

Ironhide not getting a single mention by any of the Autobots or humans like Lennox after his pointless death scene is strong enough for me to knock points of my score all by itself.

The Sam/Bee stuff, the Autobot exile and return, Prime getting to show more emotions, the highway chase/Dread fight at NEST, and Chicago being more engaging than Egypt were the saving graces of the movie.

Once the Autobots are exiled the movie makes a sharp turn to be more consistent in tone, flow and pacing, but there were several moments in the first half when I didn't know if I was supposed to be horrified or laughing, and I ended up in a nowhere's land.

An awesome review on the Transformers blog I read stated something along the lines that Bay always chooses visuals over story and character, even when it doesn't have to be an either or choice - and that's exactly why I can't rate this movie higher.

    I score it a 7.

I kick my score up on the second viewing. It took a second viewing for me to actually resolve some issues with the first. Still, how Shockwave and Driller are just 'there' is a big plot hole as far as I can tell.

Too much swearing by Autobots. Yes I know TF:TMP cursed when I was kid doesn't mean it's ok. Dickhead, really?

It's still about 20minutes too long. Senor Chang is annoying and getting overexposed imo. Carly still doesn't look like she was in the same movie as everyone eles. Sam and the soldiers are beat to crap and her white jacket is pristine, no torn clothing, not cuts on her at all. Her close up with Megs reveals one light black smudge on her forehead but that's it. Woman crashed through glass, slid down a building face....all in heels and is basically fine. WTF? I suspend disbelief but come on now.

The effects are amazing, as is the CGI, but the lack of time dedicated to the Bots doesnt make this a Transformers movie in my eyes. Its more a movie about NEST saving the world, Sam's new job and his new love interest, and in between is sandwiched in a story involving the Transformers.

    Solid 7.

It had too many glaring editing flaws to go any higher for me.

However, I enjoyed it tons....it was pure entertainment.

    6. Can't find myself disliking or hating it, but there's just too much stuff that's wrong to me that prevents me from really liking it. 6 is still a positive grade, so yeah.

I still absolutely LOVE the movie bot designs, the marvelous CGi and the pretty nicely choreographed fightscenes. I'm also thankful for the AWESOME movie toys which DOTM and this trilogy has provided me with :thumbs2:

Still, in context of the other movies and critical but honest argumentation :

I cannot give DOTM higher than a 5 out of 10.

ROTF is still the worst at 4.5 out of 10 and TFTM remains King with a solid 7.5/8 out of 10.

6/10. This is me being nice. Amazing action, but the story is horrendous.
