Sympathy? For the Decepticons?

These sorts of ridiculous threads merely expose how Transformers fans have a bizarre hatred for their own species (at least in Transformers fiction), and will grasp at straws to make humanity the bad guy that "deserved" what the Decepticons gave them.

BECAUSE THEY'RE THE BAD GUYS. You're not supposed to sympathize with them. They make life miserable for the good guys, that's their job.

After what the 'Cons were shown doing in DOTM I couldn't sympathize if I wanted to. They mercilessly killed innocent humans, destroyed an entire city and killed a helpless inventor.

Not to mention with one exception they only want to save their race and planet so they can go on and conquer the Universe.

No, for all the before mentioned reasons of the massive killings, as well as the fact they did it to themselves. Mindless conquering at the cost of your home soil is as good a reason as any for that part of a species to deserve extinction, sadly though it never stops with those who cause it. That very much includes humans as well.

I sort of feel sorry for them, most big action movies are pretty shitty at shades of grey, I mean seeing Megatron and Starscream and Soundwave all in one scene, that's pure villainy at work. It's just based on the way the Decepticons behave they seem more like domesticated animals or zombies than people (for lack of a better word) who made a choice so it translates largely as evil for evil sake. The kind of villainy that involves Top Hatted, Whiplash moustachioed men riding around in a Dirigible.....

.....though I do think Shockwave would look smashing in a top hat.

I always feel like having a giant burger, a giant coke and giant French fries after seeing Bayformers. I wonder why that is? Maybe it's because the mindless promotion of self-righteous, ignorant, resource squandering, addictive consumption habits?

I was stupid, I guess in war their are goodies and baddies one of them must be responsible for all the evils. Once we’ve annihilated the evil party everything will turn back into paradise.

So if humanity was faced with exploit a lesser alien species to save ourselves and our planet or doom ourselves and our planet to protect the lesser alien species that humans would chose them instead of Earth.
