Josh Nizzi is amazing. I even like Igor slightly better (if still not much) knowing he was designed to be the remains of Long Haul...which of course is a nod to how Nizzi got the job in the first place!
Not going by the Legion class sizes, or that "The Enforcer" from the game turns into a copcar that looks like "TA-DA", Crowbar! It is only to reason that deluxe Crankcase is more akin to Crowbar than Crankcase in initial design.
I barely know what you're talking about. All I know is that the one concept marked Dreadwind is clearly Crankcase's character design. So I'm just assuming the other one is meant to be Crowbar. It's moot anyway, since apparently all three of them turn into the same SUV in the film.
No way in hell that DOTM will be the last Transformers movie. It will just be the last that Bay has done, but you just know that Paramount and Hasbro will want to continue with it, it's too big a cash cow. And hopefully, they'll keep Nizzi on.
Anyone know if these prints are going up for sale? Has he sold them in the past? A nice lithograph of these shots would be impressive. Either that or high res shots of them.
Dang you guys are nice. Yeah there were codenames for all the robots, and some of them changed a few times. I have to admit that I was pretty disappointed that steeljaw didn’t make it – and was really surprised with the accents the wreckers ended up with. haha
I'm anxious for more Josh, but I think that's going to be it. I'm crossing my fingers we get to see Ben Procters, Paul Ozzimo and the rest. Also game renders of each High Moon character.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Josh sort of get "discovered" here for the Transformers movies because of his kick ass Long Haul design? I could have sworn that's how he got involved with all of this, but his resume site shows more pretty high profile work done beforehand.
I think it was actually on Bay's forums. Josh posted his fan art piece of Longhaul after seeing the first film, and that got him noticed and hired for the sequels. The fact he was already doing this type of thing professionally, prior to the TF films, probably didn't hurt his chances either.
Looks to me like Deluxe Crankcase looks pretty spot on with Crankcase, but the legion class crankcase looks like Crowbar... AND I WANT THAT RED DREAD.
Screw you Bay!! Why do have to change the names from main Autobots/decepticons....to other random bots!!? WHY?????!? Dont see the point in dissobeying the fans!
Josh Nizzi's taken his TF3 work off his website for a bit, at Paramount's request. Good thing I saved it all already. Also he he says he's going to be at Comic-Con. Someone should stop by and ask him some questions about his TF work! I wish we could get the original art of that back on the internet. The actual piece that got him the job. I used to have it saved, but my computer crashed and I lost it...
