Sounds as if some juicy machinations have been afoot. I are intrigue!

Aaaanyway, just a few hours and I'm off to see DotM. Can't wait!!! Saw Skyhammer in tescos earlier. I've been looking out for him for a while, but I just couldn't bring myself to buy him. Already spent £50 on tf's this month, and its only the bloody 3rd! Skyhammer is very much in my "want" list, and its only TF's in my "NEEEEEED!" list that will be parting this fool with his money for the forseeable!

All I'll say further to this is that Kapow have stopped being a sponsor at TFW2005 in an amicable split.

It is not for discussion as it is handled by the site owner.
I perhaps jumped the gun at removing the posts, but at the end of the day, this is a thread for discussing Transformer toys, so let's carry on with that.

Well, I've seen DotM, yes the spoiler I saw was a big one, but not as huge as it could be. I went to the 10.30am 3D showing at the Wrexham Odeon and there were only 7 people there including myself, my better half and daughter. Nice to have a cinema pretty much to ourselves.

I hoped it wouldn't happen, but now I really want figures of the on-screen characters.... I must get me a Leader Megs (when/if they make one).

Watching Transformers on channel 4, I realise how much I really do like this movie. It's not amazing, but I just keep remembering the sense of "awe" I had when seeing it for the first time.

Favourite scene from all three is probably Barricade attacking Sam for the first time, just that "ARE.YOU.USERNAME LADIESMAN217? WHERE ARE THE GLASSES?!" gave me chills in the cinema and still does now. Seriously gonna be on the look out for a hopeful re-relase of HA Barricade just because of that.

I'm hoping a re-release of ROTF Leader Prime comes out aswel, never got round to picking one up and foolishly thought "they'll bring it out with better paint for DOTM" :lol .

I bought Mech Tech Starscream and Sideswipe. They're awesome but is it just me or are these guys getting smaller and more expensive? It's been literally years since I bought a Transformer but I was convinced Voyagers should be a bit bigger than Optimus and Megatron actually look.

It was dead at 12 noon on the opening day too. There were roughly 12-15 people there (after a fire-alarm nearly ruined it) :lol .

Finally got the deluxe Optimus courtesy of Toyz & Gamez, yaaaaaay! He is miles better than the voyager & somehow more fun than BB Prime....and maybe even the leader?! If you're getting a DOTM Optimus, go for the deluxe. :p

Not only have I now seen DOTM, twice, the second time in IMAX (If you have access to an IMAX screen, I highly recommend it) which was nice considering I hadn't actually realised that Southampton Odeon had an IMAX screen, but I have now caved on the toys. Deluxe Crankcase and Roadbuster, every Cyberverse Commander I could get my grubby mits on, and Cyberverse Sideswipe, Crankcase, Topspin, Barricade, the Starscream orbital playset thingy, and Leader Sentinel. I will now be purchasing every single representation of the Wreckers and Laserbeak that I can find. The highlights of the movie, along with (and I never thought I'd say this) Sams parents!!!

I just spent £9 on a exclusive repaint legends figure. I guess that makes me a proper collector now? :D

They have shrunk a bit over the years (Deluxe HFTD BB is about the same heigh as voyager DOTM Skyhammer)
I think one contributing factor on this is the addition of the MechTech weapons.

If they make good on the promise of the 3rd leader I will forgive them of all their previous transgressions

Just got back from watching DotM. I feel like a fucking GBH victim.

Such an assault on the senses, so many things going on, I'm finding it all a bit hard to take in! I need to sleep on it (and possibly see it again) before I pass final judgement, but i'll say this - it had piss poor pacing and editing problems, it was waaaay too long, but bugger me sideways if it didn't feature some of the most giddy-crazy-fun-ass-shit I think I've ever seen!

Sooo glad I picked up Leader Sentinel. Awesome, AWESOME character! And now I find myself craving that Human Alliance Roadbuster, and my god do I want a HA soundwave!

Also, I'm very surprised by our Rosie, she really wasn't as bad as I thought she'd be!

    Good innit? :D

Not perfect, but a whole lot of fun, and waaaaay better than ROTF (and I like ROTF) and superb in 3D.

And she's got a lovely arse...

When I linked to the Voyagers on The Argos site it was in response to the question asked by Auto Morph just to show that the price had not recently changed on Voyagers at Argos , Boardwise failed to mention that he'd got a discount using the Vue tickets to get the toy he bought at the dicounted rate until several posts later thus that was why I guess the price was a point to question initially. Anyway I was in Argos yesterday and looking at the advertising Poster it seems that to 'guarantee to qualify' for the discount voucher for money off at Argos you have to book your tickets Online.

Which would probably be a right irritation for someone who had bought a season ticket already I suppose (unless that's not a problem).

But perhaps some who purchased there's on the day where getting stubs but some other branches had not set their tills up properly - the receipts certainly look completely different from two different branches shown in previous posts.

Seems like a good deal though if you plan to buy a Toy and see the Movie too. could get you Sentinel Prime for around about £32 for example. And you can also spend Nectar Points in Argos too n(If you shop in Sainsburys etc to collect them). And Boardwise is right to recommend that you make a fuss and get them to give you the offer with just the ticket stub if you didn't get a voucher as the terms and conditions don't seem at all clear at first glance.. well worth insisting to save a fiver i'd say. and you could always ring them up and confirm first I suppose or even go back to the Cinema and ask for a proper voucher. reminds me of the offer they had in America with money off coupons on Happy meal boxes.

I had a look around and couldn't find the Motormaster Coloured Megatron & Bee Yesterday as yet - which is a shame but it's not urgent until I can find the Cyberverse Playset Megatron too which should complement him. Every place I checked only had Bumblebee & Starscream so far. (People are dead right about Starscream's playset being dead floppy bye the way).

I did see a few interesting things though that were not about last time I looked, Robotpower figures (bigger and simpler than I expected them to be and nothing like Replica Robots/Revoltech at all), Tesco Exclusive Voyagers (Starscream & Ratchet- didn't know they came with exclusive comics until now) Starscream has less paint on him than the ROTF one though, that Movie Dlx Optimus Prime, Sainsbury's had their old Stealthforce toys reduced to £3.40 each and RPM cars for £1.30 and ROTF Legends for £2.50 each, and Tesco had Big Hoss & Starscream I think they were about £16.99 (I really wish Big Hoss was a robot mode Transformer of the same size he looks quite nice as a truck though). Sainsbury's also had the new DOTM Stealth Force for £10.99 each Still no sign of Voyager Wave 2 in my area aside from one random Skyhammer I saw just the once though.

I also asked Argos to check their internal system for me and it looks like the warehouse deliveries for Human Alliance basics come in after 22nd July with them showing up in store not long after which jell with the release date I'd read before - looking forward to them.

I also checked to see if I could find a HA Roadbuster since I was not having a lot of luck otherwise and same problem other reported reared it's head- just Bumblebee. *His windows really are quite semi-opaque - which looks a bit naff really*

I tried out the Leader Sentinel Prime in Tesco He said "I am Sentinel Prime" when the button was pressed - not sure if that is more or less than usual (as the other praises on American one only work when the mechtech ports are used apparently) to those who own him is that all he says - if so at least it's two whole words more than a European Jetfire says. I also tried another and that one didn't work at all.

Last thing I saw which gave me a giggle was a giant green Cybertron Legends Optimus Prime KO that was 8" tall and that cost £8.00.

Oh and I noticed the Sainsburys/Mirror Newspaper RPM/Speedstars cars are just bagged they are not even carded toys.
I wonder what the display box is like that they show for a later date.

Oh and lastly this months GQ Magazine has a spread on Rosie.

Emgo's review of Ultimate Optimus Prime just sold me on him, could maybe even consider him for the prime shelf. Now the wait begins for him to become affordable, absolute maximum I'd pay would be £60.
