ALL the characters are mislabeled. It's not even consistent. Megatron alternates between "Cyclonus" and his real name, and Topsin is "Tempest" except in his close up where is is "Warpath" like Roadbuster.

Not to mention his Long Haul design was originally fan-art.

Bullshit, I met Nizzi at an IMAX premiere for ROTF, he is a fan through and through, he even got this job after bay saw some of his fan art for Long Haul, so no, He is a Transformers fan though, for sure

I'm assuming the incorrect names were to throw off fans should the art ever leak.

 

So.... much.... AWESOME. 

 

Me thinks maybe Josh should be an ex. producer, he is the reason these Bayformers are so cool.

 

Please let them release that early roadbuster design, the figure sucks but id love to have a gordon transformer. And maybe repaint the 48 or 42 into the 5 car, I could have a full hendrick team!

 

I want a Transformers Book of nothing but concept art.

 

The Red Dread? Yeah I would kind of like to see them try and repurpose that design for a figure. It'd be interesting to see how they'd pull off the wheel bicep transformation.

Anyways, Josh Nizzi is a GOD of TF art. These designs are great, and a lot of the characterful, memorable designs are done by him. Great work!

 

So, he had a hand in designing all the new DOTM characters except Wheeljack, Brains, and "Cloverfield"? Cool.

 

Oh man, these images are spectacular. I pray that that the Soundwave toy does his art justice. I can't wait!

 

Nizzi is the bomb. I love the Megatron pick of him feeding the hatchlings just like in the movie.

 

I dont know how Steeljaw would have translated on the screen, but I think he looks great with leadfoot.

 

Ravage was great in ROTF, but Laserbeak perched on Soundwave in Nizzi's art is fantastic.

 

Nizzi is without a doubt one of the best Transformers artists out there (if not the best).

Looking at Soundwave, the Dreads, the Wreckers, he knows how to do amazing Transformer designs. There's so much subtlety and beauty to them, while each character is unique and possesses amazing robotic and alien aesthetics.

Seeing all this amazing concept art makes me sad we're not going to get to see any more awesome artwork like this, if DOTM is in fact the last Transformers film.

 

So, the dreads were apparently seekers at first? Well that explains why Hatchet is a plane. Also Dreadwind (Crowbar) and Hooligan (Crankcase)?

Furthermore, Sen. Primes gun isn't just a rust ray, But a Cosmic rust cannon!!! No wonder poor Ironhide dissolved so quick. Sen. Prime must have found a way to weaponize it.

 

You can believe this wont be the last. I can predict a prequel or a reboot 2 years out. They could even do a war for cybertron, and have only cybertronian protoform vehicles.
