My friend and I loved that line. I did have to explain it to my wife though, since she's only seen TWOK once.

I thought it was cool. The target non-geek demographic wouldn't even get it, so I could separate myself from it so it didn't seem heavy handed.

I'm not sure if the line itself made any sense in the film, though. Does the dead/dying world of Cybertron have enough robots on it to qualify the "many" by making 6 billion earthlings a relative "few?"

I don't think he was simply referring to the handful of Autobots as "few" since they wouldn't be the ones enslaved and because they were fighting for their want to see humanity survive rather than a need.

I dunno. It was a fun nod to Star Trek. I'm just being a nitpick nerd.

It just shows that Sentinel considers the human race "few" compared to the Decepticons' "many". No matter how many more humans there are than Decepticons.

That's kinda why his plan failed.

I would have crapped myself if Ratchet had said:
"Yes, Cliffjumper, it's Ratchet. What are you thinking? How do you feel?"

Not a Star Trek fan, didn't even catch it. it's a good line regardless of origins.

It was the other way around...

That quote is beyond out of place in this. We're told Cybertron's a dead planet... there's 9/10 Autobots... and towards the end around 200ish Decepticons. How many humans were there again? Oh right 6+ billion.

Like I said, it shows that Sentinel considers approx. 213 Cybertronians the "many" compared to 7 billion humans the "few". Even then, it might not be literal. Pretty sure Sentinel thinks very little of humans.

I knew it was coming, but when I heard it - facepalm. A nice nod to Leonard Nimoy's past body of work, but maybe one of Galvatron's lines would have worked better.

My favorite Trek reference was actually Wheelie's comment about the episode "where Spock goes crazy." Best. Foreshadowing. Ever.

Everytime i go to these boards im always a little shocked with how much my opinion differs from the large majority of the fans. Each time me and my buddies go see these movies we always love them yet, everyone else is a little less satisfied. Why can't people just enjoy what they have.

Anyways, I actually thought i heard that quote somewhere, but i thought it fit pretty good actually. It ironicly between what he tought Optimus, fits his desperate ideals. Sentinel wants to do whatever it takes to save his race junk that everyone else spouts out.

I think people do appreciate having TF movies, but really hoped that it would have been much better in certain aspects. Really nothing wrong with saying how things should have been instead of not saying anything at all.

Facepalm moment for me to say the least. Afterwords learning that it was Leonard Nimoy I was a little less annoyed.
It was such a awesome movie I really could care less if they added "may the force be with you"
