The new cybertron. I kinda like how it looks, would anyone else agree?

Just got back from seeing it a 2nd time and I can say I think I loved more the second time around! I was able to notice a few things I didn't the 1st time (like the HUGE walker sized Ravages in the lower right hand corner in the opening shot on Cybertron). And I'm definitley liking Rosie more and more each time I see her. I really think her and the rest of the cast did an amazing job. Seeing it for a 3rd time tomorrow night at 7!

I liked it. Did anyone else feel like it kinda resembled Vector Sigma? :)

Just got back from seeing DOTM in IMAX 3D.

I'll eat my serving of crow and admit that I enjoyed the hell out of this movie. This is the most relentless movie since Bad Boys 2. It just didn't quit (in a good way.)

I got the impression that Optimus Prime was hardened after learning of the betrayal of Sentinel Prime, and seeing the death of Ironhide. Everyone wants to say "oh thats not Prime-like" but thats exactly the point. The Movie-verse has shown me a side of Optimus what most writers dare not tread into. We as fans have always seen Prime portrayed with great compassion, sometimes too much compassion.

Look at it this way, If I just saw Megatron shoot Sentinel Prime in the back after they had a so call "Truce", I'd be "OH HELLZ NO!" when Megs offered it to me. Yeah he saved my life but the guy would probably slit my throat in my sleep. And its not like Prime just decapitated Megs in cold blood. Prime said "There can never be a truce between us" they drew their weapons and fought.

My only dissapointment is that the fight between Prime and Megs only lasted like 3 seconds. I really wanted a nice epic fight fight between those two. When its all said and done the Bay-verse trilogy was an awesome ride and I am glad I was alive to be a part of it.

If all the transformers were human fighters this would've been mortal combat with all those fatalities everyone pulled on each other LOL. I can see the R rating if this was replaced with humans instead of bots.

I seen it in IMAX 3d. I have to say, it looked and sounded amazing! The best video quality I've ever witnessed hands down. As for the movie, it sucked. Now, nowhere near as bad as the second, but it still blew. The first is still the best, the sequels cannot touch it.

Not really what I expected Cybertron to look like... I don't know if I like it or not.
What it really looks like is a giant honeycomb, which makes sense if you think about the Transformers themselves. They probably started with a base rock (or metal) as a planet, and then built outwards, forming the honeycomb layers we see in the film. Kind of like how bees build their hive.

I'm not necessarily liking it, but it makes sense that the planet would look that way.

Even being robots, this movie was kinda gory as all get out (not that I mind). It;'s funny seeing the "damage evolution" form the first movie, to ROTF (when you first see liquids and blood coming from them) to DOTM when it's almost like guts are coming out and blood is pouring out of their bodies. Pretty grusome...I thought it was sweet :)

I did not like this movie. I feel it had too many characters in it for me to care about them or even know why they are on the screen. They kept introducing new characters without even giving us a chance to know the old characters.
Shia has never sold me, and he still gets the most screen time. No Transformers film (including 86') has centered itself on Optimus as the main character. I feel Optimus is the leading man of the whole Transformers franchise, no matter what form it presents itself. But still his diolog added up to little more than heroic word salad.

The potty humor was not so outrageous that I could not stomach it. I can stomach much worse. It just feels weird being in a PG-13 movie. Either go full on and have a Cormanesque sleeze fest with tits, gore, and blood, or make a PG-13 Speilbergian sci-fi, action, drama the whole family can enjoy. But it's neither.

Also, cgi JFK is never a good idea.

i actually just assumed this was a different part of Cybertron... not every city in the world looks the same, so why does every city on Cybertron have to look the same?

You reasoning is the same as to why people shouldn't be upset at the different looks of Cybertron from TF1 to DOTM.

Since the part of Cybertron we saw in TF1 appeared to be one of Megatron's strongholds, maybe that was Kaon and the part where the Ark launched from was Iacon.

"Mass Murderer" Optimus Prime is in a WAR if you didn't know.

Optimus Prime killed Megatron because the cycle would of continued, it doesn't make prime a sadistic freak, he just single handedly won the war.

Stop saying it like he's a damn criminal, what did you expect him to do? arrest megatron?

Yes I did know you condescending person, you. I'm not a moron, I understand war. I also understand the consistent nature of Optimus Prime in all other canons, and Bay's Prime did not fit the bill. I'm not upset at the end results of his actions, just how they were portrayed and he carried them out.

Exactly. I can suspend my disbelief and go with the flow most times, but that was one detail that failed to. If somewhere in Megs' monologue he mentioned that he was playing the Fallen, or tried to explain what he was scheming along the course of the movie, however hairbrained it is, I could forgive that rather than what we got.
