I'm beginning to think there are some who think that anyone who didn't like this movie are stupid, whiners, or suffering some kind of character defect. I would suggest tastes differ. Enjoy the conversation.

Saw the movie for the first time today. Yay, I can now read twitter again. I saw it in 2d with my girlfriend due to the 3d glasses irritating her eyes and causing her to get a headache. Going to take the parental units to see it on Tuesday in 3d though.

Just got back from IMAX. First time ever going to IMAX. Holy HELL! This was the movie I wanted to see back in 07! The highway chase was AWESOME, and the look on Optimus' face when Megatron asks where he'd be without him...'Let's find out.' Easily the best in the trilogy!

Well, we had a couple of posts acting all high and mighty and how those who like the movie know nothing. It´s a backlash reaction.

yeah, seems like just a bit of a goof... or he was scanning earth modes while the ship was drifting?

yeah, that was gnarly... watching it a second time today made me really see how cool that was. i got a little teary both times there... it was just crazy.

i disagree, but that's the wonderful thing about opinions, we're all entitled to our own. I rated it a good 86% the first time, but this time it's definitely higher. there were things i missed the first time that i felt better about this time, and it seemed to flow better as well. I honestly don't think anyone can catch every detail from a movie the first time they watch it, so i'm always game to watch something again. i'll probably go see it again this weekend.

agreed, the chase was awesome, and watching the robots actually use their alt mode with reason was fantastic. the one thing i would've liked more about this entire series is if they had used stasis lock as a reason for all the Transformers needing a vehicle mode, as well as why they stay in them from time to time. but oh well. still love this series.

Lets just say this movie was so awesome, that I was willing to let my bladder explode in order to watch every damn second of the movie.

I couldn't enjoy the movie because everyone in the theater was FREAKING CLAPPING AND SCREAMING THE ENTIRE MOVIE....ok I'm done. But seriously, that crap annoys the bejeesus out of me. Just, for the love of holiness, let me enjoy the movie in peace. No, it does NOT add to the movie experience, it detracts from the movie experience. Ugh.

Anyways, I'd give the movie about a 7.5 or 8 out of 10. Bay still can't direct a cohesive story if someone was holding a gun to his first born, and I'd say about bots maybe got 30% of the screen time. I also wasn't extremely impressed with Optimus "Mass Murdering Psychopath" Prime. Anyways, when they were on the screen, the fights were MARVELOUS, and the last hour, as everyone has said, was amazing.

This movie is obviously a must see in 3D if only for the one scene with the flying squirrel men. Overall, I liked the movie a lot, wanted to love it, but didn't.

cuz he's megatron and he's fucking evil?

he said prime needed him, but prime knew that as soon as Sentinel was down, Megatron would've done the same to him.

also, I like Sentinel Prime having a Cosmic Rust gun. that was freaking sweet... still wish they had put in a scene of SP going into the base and taking out the Twins, Jolt and Chromia... it would've just been awesome... maybe in the dvd we'll get some extra CG roboty goodness?

Saw the movie today. Leonard Nimoy as Sentinel Prime gave me chills. Made the movie for me. Badass through and through! The Wrath of Khan line...I had the biggest smile on my face. I would've given anything to hear him say 'Magnus, I want the Matrix' (or Prime in this case).

I'd probably rank this behind the first movie though. I don't know...something about it felt a bit disjointed. One big negative was Shockwave and Megatron being relegated to glorified cameos. But a good time overall...Prime at the very end was awesome, especially what he did to Megatron(and Sentinel as well), especially with half his body ripped up. The energon axe was a cool scene too.

Btw, any idea who that large quad decepticon was supposed to be? Looked like a pretty rough customer.

Then there wouldn't be a third movie. :p

No seriously, if The Fallen succeeded, they WON. They wouldn't need to go through with the plan they had in DOTM.

i think the "mass murderer" Prime was fantastic... he's seen that after Megatron came back, he fucked up shit and caused more death, so why would he keep him around? sure, in g1 and most of the animated series, they weren't out for death, but they sure as hell shoulda been... If this were all real, i'd much rather know that the giant robot who wants to destroy my planet is dead than alive in some cybertronian jail, just waiting to come back.

i assumed he was the Waste Management truck... he looks vaguely truck like with 4 wheels on each arm...

I wanted to kill everyone in the theater. My gosh they were annoying (not really, I'm not a psycho) but I paid $15 to see this movie, I don't want you yelling through the whole thing. Good0ness, I was fuming. Oh well, I know no one on here really cares, I'm just being pissy.

While I agree with your hypothesis, I think the way they portrayed it gave a different sentiment. I just felt...odd, un-Prime Like. That might just be me, though. The first glimpse of that Prime was in ROTF, at the biginning of the movie "Any last words?!" Really? C'mon man.

This kind of rattled me a bit too. I can accept a series of unlikely coincidences that link the Transformers to Earth. But balancing the Allspark, Sunharvester, and human slaves -Each vying for the part of 'secret original reason for being here' was a bit much, since some cancelled others out.

Someone has apparently suggested that Megatron was just messing with the fallen while he looked about for Sentinel. But the harvester came pretty close to destroying the Earth and the Moon, and it didn't look like Megs had plans to switch it off at the last minute. Oh well.
