I wouldve liked it better if he wouldve killed Megs instead of Optimus doing it. Then let him fly off like a coward.
i like how he died but its just all the shouting sqarming was unnecessary but aye... it was starscream and i totally wanna see a stop-motion like that... sam vs starscream
I hated that whole death scene. Starscream should have been killed by the hands of an Autobot, perhaps Ironhide(if he had been alive)
For me the whole scene was just sad and boring. The way Starscream acted was just irrational and forced; why didn't he just rip that cable or fly off, why did he let Sam stab him in the other eye. I can imagine it must have been painful but ffs he managed to withstand having his arm ripped off and being beaten with it. The was no drama in that scene and the saddest part was that I didn't even feel anything while seeing him die. His character was portrayed so bluntly that I didn't even care. And I am big 'Screamer fan.
Yeah, that was kinda how I was picturing it at first, but then, of course, Ironhide friggin' DIED. X( But, Starscream's demise kinda fits his personality, I think. Perhaps not the best death, but not bad either.
I wanted to see Screamer betray Megatron.... The fact that that (^) was left out of the film is what the movies failed for me! I also thought he died too early. His death was alright but he really should've had a fight scene. The scene in the novel where he killed Mirage was PERFECT! It showed how sick and cowardly Screamer was and gave him some villain-cred. To me, Starscream's portrayel is the only thing that keeps me from LOVING DOTM.
Starscream, would have been perfect if he had just ONCE threatened Megatron in this movie. Even behind his back, without Megatron noticing. Otherwise, he was perfect. His dialogue was soooo G1 Starscream.
G1 Starscream was no bootlicker or kiss-up. Why do people always think that he was like that? I wasn't even thought of when G1 came out and yet even I notice this TRUTH. G1 Starscream was a loud-mouth bitch that would declare his superiority over Megatron and then get his ass handed to him for it. This Starscream....justs sucks at Megatron's feet and only appreciates the death of humans. He's meticulous but for all the wrong reasons. What little pride he has is just pathetic.....
You need to watch some more G1, son. YouTube - ‪Starscream "I'm stupiiid!"‬‏ Oh, and Starscream did attack Megatron. In the first movie, he helped participate in his death.
And even if Starscream didn't bomb Megatron in Mission City, he still sure as Hell left him to die. He was DEFINETLY G1 here, but agreed, I would've liked him to threaten Megatron behind his back.
I would like more obvious backstabbery than "he's an F-22 and a bunch of F-22s shot Megatron so obviously Starscream MUST have shot Megatron" and "he disappeared so he obviously MUST have left Megatron to die (despite disappearing being frighteningly common for TFs)." RotF sort of comes close with Starscream taking command while Megatron was dead, but then again that was a legitimate action on his part. Megs was DEAD, what else could his 2nd in command do? Let the Decepticon forces fall apart and rot for two years?
I had to pause for a moment when I heard him threaten Sam with a kicking. I was like, "wait....what?" I thought it was a funny yet slightly fitting ending to Starscream in this series.
Armada Starscream died not only with dignity but with purpose. Then again, he was very different to all Starscream incarnations thus far.
Favorite scene in the movie. Ditto. Funny I find this statement truer towards the Prime Starscream and Soundwave. This reminds me of a DC comic where a bunch of superheroes were being dominated by Deathstroke the terminator and they were only able to pull a victory when Green Arrow stabbed him in his eye socket. His cool and rational demeanor were tossed aside while he thrashed about and started shouting expletives.Not in character for either one but an excusable reaction.
