Really? I thought the story was the strongest of the trilogy, by far.

Did anyone notice on the freeway that Bay recycled footage from The Island? Cause I was sitting there and I was like wait a minute WTF!?

Its the scene where the dread crashes and his head falls off and when a car flips over.

Im not hating, just pointing it out.

Um, unless you're thinking of some other musical piece that played four times in DOTM, that WAS "Iridescent," sir.

No, sir, you are not. EPIC.

Arcee (red) and Elita-1 (purple) were blasted by Bonecrusher II and co. Chromia's (blue) fate has yet to be revealed onscreen.

:lol  That bit might end up giving me nightmares; I was so slagging TERRIFIED.

The twins had a very brief appearance in the film. When the Autobots drive into the NEST hangar they are in the very rear of the line.

Okay so question, why did Bay decide to take the twin out of the movie after shooting a number of shots with them in it? and even made toys of them.........blu-ray special features maybe?

Oh both quoted and Grammar corrected, I feel so special.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------

I was wondering even if he's had his fill of Directing Transformers Movie might bay want to change to Producing them ? - and he's saving the really screwy Characters from dying so they can be used to make some gross out comedy with Mudflap & Skids & Wheelie & Brains and maybe others... rather than an Action Movie with Comedy Elements it would be just the wacky characters doing stupid stuff for giggles.

Aimed at the lowest common denominator market who go to all these Gross-out Movies the last few years otherwise why give yourself a get out clause on all the wackier characters - Even ZE Doctor & Igor seemingly survive the Movie (a potential Pinky & The Brain of Transformers). Bay's only said he didn't want to Direct any more Movies - who's to say he wouldn't want to make a silly spin off (Ewoks : Caravan of Courage spinning off from another successful franchise that had at the time reached it's logical conclusion springs to mind) not to mention it would perhaps bring Transformers back to being closer to Ghostbusters & Gremlins that it has become. - I can see it being done in all sorts of ways like Wheelie and Brains hook up with some kids and cause all sorts of trouble and Mudflap & Skids are given the job of finding them and get into all sorts of trouble in the process. Perhaps some random Decepticon survivor sees them and repeatedly tries to kill them (bit like 'Duel') - less characters played for giggles could even maybe 'not suck'

I just thought I would mention that it does seem likely that Megs wanted his head repaired otherwise why have a skuttlebot roam about in your cowl trying to do just that.

Pity Bay didn't know (or perhaps didn't care) that Ravage traditionally has some clones too - as then he could have reused Ravage in the Chicago battle simply by making him blue, white or red & black.

It would have been nice to see Soundwave with some version of all of his usual sidekicks (Rumble even too). Perhaps Rumble could have replaced Ze Doctor or Igor.

holy crap this movie was amazing!! The scale was so much bigger and there was alot of heart and emotion. I wasn't too sure when I actually found out that the rest of the story besides Sentinel turning and the space race was based heavily off of G1 (don't get me wrong I love G1), but they actually did it so well it was above "pulling it off."

Sentinel's betrayal was, just wow... perfect... and unexpected

DARKNESS!!!! I loved how freakin' dark it was how much it made the Decepticons seem even more violent (movieverse is very violent anyway). The cold execution of humans, some just killed them for no reason.

The Africa scene was so cool. It's hard to explain why; I guess you don't see the majority of the Decepticons meet up and talk in the movies alot. The darkness was just great. I was disappointed when Megatron didn't shoot an elephant, but Laserbeak flying down and killing a bird for no reason was pretty nice. I'm pretty sure Scalpel from ROTF was crawling around on the not-so-better-half of Megatron's face, and Megs just picks him up and squishes him. The hatchlings in rusty barrels, along with Megs so torn up, was just amazing

Laserbeak was freakin' CREEPY. LOVED THE CRAP OUT OF HIM! His dialogue was hard to get used to (he's never talked before) but he was just like out of a horror film. Executing the former cosmonauts so perfectly, and the Pink Bumblebee thing it was all very just sadistic, I guess. I've always liked a sort of dark story, but this Laserbeak and Soundwave, etc. was just awesome and I loved how twisted (like in the messed up way, like Heath Ledger's Joker in The Dark Knight) Laserbeak was.

The scene where they first enter Chicago is also very dark and sad. Really had that heartfelt human interest, feeling and emotion to it. The people running and getting gunned down, the kids running and screaming, the Decepticon drone fighters shooting down anything that tried to get into the perimeter, it really gave a feeling of hopelessness. I live in Alabama, where a good portion of our state was leveled due to tornadoes back in April. The situation in Chicago was similar to the aftermath of the tornado, rubble everywhere, very disorienting as you just gaze at the sheer devastation, and see where people once lived that there is nothing there. It was so eery. Then, though, in addition to seeing all of the rubble, there was still the threat of Decepticons, so it was all so like "oh shit this is sad AND they're still screwed." At least with a tornado, you're only screwed for a few minutes and then it's gone.

The execution scene was great. I was close to choking back tears when Q was killed. It was sad because he just seemed so innocent, he wasn't a bad-ass Bayformer killing machine. It was pretty sad when Soundwave put his gun to Bumblebee's head. It was crazy.

Optimus (my favorite) was a badass, as usual in the movies, but still acted as a great leader. I liked seeing him pissed at the human government, but it was kind of funny to see him refusing to transform because he was mad. It seemed a little immature and childish.

The scene where the Autobots were exiled was very sad.

SHOCKY AND MEGS: could have done more. Megatron didn't really do all that much. After the Africa scene, he didn't come accross as evil and as much of a threat he has been in the past. Shockwave was badass but I wish he had more screen time and killed more stuff. His Driller was cool, but a personal pet peeve of mine was how they referred to Shockwave and his Driller as both just Shockwave. They should have said Shockwave's driller.

Didn't like Starscream's death. It seemed more like comic relief than a serious death of a bad guy. It fits his multiversal character, but I really started to like movie Starscream because he had badass moments and suck-up, kiss-ass moments where he's still Megatron's bitch. I was also expecting a little more from Starscream besides just one-liners and stuff. More combat and more dialogue, where he didn't sound like a complete ******. (His quote "I'm gonna kick you!" when Sam and Lennox were hanging on to him was rediculous)

Didn't like how humans told Decepticons what to do. Soundwave was going to keep the Autobots prisoners until Dempsey told him not to. Wish he made that decision himself; he would seem so much colder and darker if he just decided to take only trophies without Dempsey telling him to. And Carly telling Megatron he'd be Sentinel's bitch was a little rediculous.

Scale was awesome. Loved the opening scene on Cybertron, and the fact that this time, instead of Decepticons outnumbering Autobots 9 to 15, it was more like 9 to 200. The ships and drone fighters were cool. Chicago was awesome, just completely torn to pieces.

I almost lol'd when Dempsey revealed his character because Soundwave had his little tentacles near Rosie, and I was hoping for some good ol' fashioned japanese tentacle rape (just kidding). But forreal, though, we've always joked about him tentacle-raping the sattelite in ROTF, so it seemed natural to make that joke here. Dempsey's character was great, though, and he played it well.

Rosie was very hot and played her part well. She did great for her first time acting. Bravo! And the scenes where she has a blank stare and shit is exploding behind her made alot more sense when seen in the context of the movie and not in the commercials.

Good comedy. Maybe one or two toilet humor moments, but the rest was good, clean, hilarious comedy. Wheelie and Brains were funny, and made a big difference at the end.

I was expecting more bot-on-bot action like in the warehouse/forest battle or when Bumblebee kills that Constructicon in ROTF, but this movie delivers its share of action. The highway chase scene and the fight between Ironhide/Sideswipe and the Dreads was great.

The Wreckers were great, though I would have like to see more screen time with them. Their toy bios and information made me think they'd have alot more dialogue and a really creative combat display, since they were supposedly badasses who made cool weapons.

Must-see in IMAX/3D. It's not the best 3D since Avatar, it's the best 3D period. If there were ever a movie to use 3D in, it would be this one. It works so great and looks so nice. It's like you're right there in the middle of the action.

I forgive Michael Bay for his mistakes in ROTF after seeing this, however, I was never one who hated ROTF. For a long time, I liked ROTF better than the first one, and enjoyed the Twins and toilet humor, and still kind of do. DOTM is a better put-together movie, but not better all-around. I enjoyed the clean humor, and the story. AND THE SENSE OF URGENCY! The only main problem I had with ROTF was that it almost seemed like The Fallen and his "Star Destroyer" posed no real threat at all. "You know, they're gonna blow up our sun, but we don't care because we're going to spend an hour reviving a geriatric Decepticon-turned Autobot, being teleported to Egypt, finding the Matrix of Leadership, and battling for no reason other than just because it's good vs. evil, and then The Fallen will show up and pose a half-ass threat for 5 minutes and then everything's okay." Enough about ROTF, DOTM delivered an emotion and sense of urgency and a real threat to everyone.

It was a great movie and all, but I'm not sure it's the best one. I had a feeling after it was all over that they should have used this movie for the second film (minus the deaths of Megatron, Ironhide, Starscream, and Soundwave), and used an even darker and better plot for the third. After watching G1 cartoons and Transformers: Prime on The Hub (I grew up during Armada/Energon/Cybertron), I really left the theatre with a feeling like, "Why did it take 3 movies for them to get Megatron, Starscream, Soundwave, and Laserbeak all together as the Decepticons?" I loved Barricade, the Constructicons, and The Fallen, but after watching G1 episodes, and then watching the first two movies again, the Decepticons seem so incomplete until this third one.

Though it wasn't the best in the trilogy (I can't really say which one is) it is definitely a great movie. All of the ROTF-haters will say it was so much better, and it is a great close and finale to the best movie series/franchise ever made.

I think it would be nice to get a few deleted scenes on the DVD/Blu-Ray - especially if they're scenes that are in the adaptations but might've simply been cut from the film: a scene or two of the Twins and their deaths, Megatron shooting an elephant, Sentinel remarking to Optimus that the world needs more playgrounds, etc.

Was it actually footage from The Island? (I love that highway scene) Someone mentioned it on here before I saw the movie so I recognized it when I saw it. I'll have to do a direct comparison when it hits DVD I guess to see if it isn't just extremely similar.

The last part you saw him in was one of the final scenes, where you could see him in the background walking towards everyone along with the other Autobots. He seemed to be missing an arm, but it could've just been me.

I'm getting really tried of this, will someone tell me WHY they hated Transformers Revenge of the Fallen so much, that was the best one out of all three, especially in Action, why because they were constant in the action scenes in 2, and enough in 1, the action in the city disappointed me, the great optimus prime, the guy who killed Sentinel Prime and Megatron with one arm gets caught in some wires, the Autobots magically become captured, Megatron does nothing, i have no problem with starscream dying the way he did, Soundwave could have done a little more, I was expecting a lot more from shockwave, but no he had to be wounded my Humans, just sad, Optimus beating the crap out of him easily did not surprise me because he did so in the Prequel comics, way too much focus on the humans again, also Decepticons never take prisoners unless they want to lure someone else in, The Wreckers did not even sightly live up to their names, nor did anyone say their names in the film, The highway fight scene was Awesome, i expected more stuff when Sideswipe, Mirage, Wheeljack, and Bumblebee were invading that one place at the beginning, they gave no reason why Ironhide suddenly started rusting, my guess is Sentinel has like a cosmic rust cannon or something, Wheeljack was interesting, Brains was funny, Wish there were more scenes of Sideswipe and Mirage fighting, the fight scenes were not as good as the second, it was like i was watching a mortal Kombat version of transformers, they were really brutal, no problems with the way any transformer looked...well except leadfoot, The Driller could have been a lot tougher, i was like REALLY, THATS ALL IT TOOK, when optimus simply rammed through it, i do wish they made it so that the last fight scene with Sentinel Prime fighting was longer and did not go to any shots of other people looking, just a constant fight between Optimus Prime, Sentinel Prime, and Megatron with no interupptions, that would have been badass, Micheal bay got the Megatrons spine being torn out from Mortal Kombat i guarrentee you. The ending to the movie was stupid, no one morned any of the Dead Autobots, that was just stupid, all in all i gave the movie a 7/10, someone tell me what the differences are between the Normal Verison and the Imax version please.

I saw the first morning show today and overall I thought it was an amazing Transformers film. Did it have its flaws? Well, of course it did but its a great summer movie and will make a TON of money.

Like most of people here I agree that laserbeak stole the show: his voice was sinister, his multiple transformations were cool, and when he perched himself on Soundwave that was classic.

Am I missing something from comics or novel or wherever about how people don't agree with Mirage/Dino and Wheeljack/Q name change?? I'm fine with their names being Q and Dino only because to me Mirage is blue/white color scheme that turns invisible and Wheeljack is white with green/red racing stripes with a shoulder rocket. Nonetheless, Dino/Q were awesome

I don't get how people think Optimus was too violent and how he should have taken pity on Sentinel and Megatron especially for calling a "truce". He knows how ruthless Megatron is due in part to what Megs did on Cybertron and for ripping his "1st Lieutenant" Jazz in half and even for killing him in ROtF...let me repeat, Megatron killed Optimus So if I was Optimus, I wouldn't hesitate to kill megatron in an instant. Plus another way of looking at it is when Optimus is getting the crap beat out of him and sees Megs come along and start shooting away at Sentinel, what's to stop Optimus from thinking "oh, megs is just taking a cheap shot at SP so he could be the sole leader...hmmm, better take him out ASAP"

Oh and if these robotic alien life forms had adrenaline or the cybertronian equivalent of it running in their bodies, then yeah Optimus could have easily taken on Megs and SP cuz i don't know, uhh, the fate of a planet he just started calling home is about to fall to the decepticons again.

    other things i noticed...

-soundwave, tho small in size was awesome with his voice even without his vocoder
-awesome movie and will watch it at least two or three more times
-and finally, Carly did a pretty decent acting job and of course that butt...that butt in 3D
