I am not even sure it had a name, unless they provided one in the printed media.

Nope. He does serve a purpose in the movie (albeit not all that big) - but I can't tell you!

I got the impression the Bank Truck was just transporting some of the pillers... correct me if I'm wrong.

Was it even confirmed to be a Decepticon and not just a normal bank truck
    affiliated with the Decepticons?

Or it was Payload. Either one.

    This.

It wasn't necessarily a Decepticon, it was just a vehicle that Dylan's [secret] company owned, branded with the logo.

I think it's a safe bet it was a Decepticon. There were enough Decepticons running around on Earth that I think a Decepticon symbol on the side meant it WAS a Decepticon.

Why get a human-driven vehicle pretending to be a Transformer to transport stuff, when you can just get an actual Transformer to do it?

I just kinda assumed that since humans were in cahoots with the Decepticons, it's like the humans' way of waving the Decepticon flag, so to speak. But you make a valid point.

i dont think it was pretending, it was probably wearing the symbol to show decepticon ships or protoforms to not shoot it because if you look closely when its driving out of the place it has a driver and if it was a decepticon why would it have armed human guards inside of it

The Decepticons wouldn't shoot it anyway. I'm assuming at this point they know what's going with the pillars and Sentinel.
Also, I'm guessing it having a driver was just an error in filmmaking. Bonecrusher has a driver in TF1.

They wouldn't have placed so much importance on the Decepticon symbol on the side of the truck if they didn't want it to be considered a Decepticon.
