mixed thoughts people will say first thou if your a fan go to watch it, some characters are played out think you see his parents maybe 2 or 3 times in it along with sam's boss, fight scenes are immense , didnt think he gave prime his main entrance(last fight scenes) like from that of one and two the music was there mind just didnt do it for me thou, storyline itself ok but still trying to balance it out in my head, there is a much deeper plot!
    carly-fit
    agent Symonds - still a beaut .
    sentinel prime - Traitor
    Optimus Prime - Legend
    RIP - Ironide

    overall thou guys 7.5

none the less enjoy the watch.......roll out!

Are the Wreckers the New Leo or the New Codebreakers ?

And why give a Posh British Acent to a Robot with a German alt mode - when the Italian Alt mode has an Italian accent and both Sideswipe & Ironhide sound American as best as I can tell and have American alt modes.

If they really wanted to lay on the Bond (Q Branch) Reference on even thicker why not making him an Aston Martin - and give him a scene using Stealth Force mode (which is so like Bonds own Cars have as attack modes anyway).. seems to show a lack of planning to me.

Oh and I have to say I'm puzzled I though that the Movie team shot at the Daytona 500 race and showed real Nascars - if this is true then was there supposed to be a shot of the Wreckers at the Race.

It would have been nice if when they were in convoy going back the base or to NASA the Wreckers were proper NASCAR disguise mode and not in attack mode.
5 Minutes searching on Google and you can find shots of the attack mode cars sitting next to the real cars proving that it was feasible they could have been used... if it was only a distant shot they didn't even have to be real cars they could have CG'd them in.

It's just one of those choices like Bumblebee not having a 1969 alt mode back in 2007 that smacks of incompetent marketing - how can you hype them as NASCARS when they are never shown to be NASCARS - and are effectively stuck in Ultra-attack mode the entire time?

If one wanted to be really picky you'd have to wonder why they have American 50 Calibre Machine guns stuck on them too rather than Particle or Laser weapons ?

Saw the movie today and I liked it, I'll on it on Blu just like the first two. There is no need to sit here and pick it apart, after all, it's still a movie based on a cartoon. These movies could have gone the way of the 1990's Captain America or that Transmorphers crap. So it wasn't Star Wars, or Star Trek, neither of which started the way Transformers did, but what it was was three good summer blockbuster movies and I had fun watching and will enjoy again every time I fire them up on Blu. I'll say it now, yes, I'd like to see a re-boot. Transformers 4 instead? Yeah, I'll watch it. I'll keep watching util it does become 1990's Cappy or Transmorphers, then I'll move on. :)

I liked number 1 better it made more sense. I mean i hate the way Ironhide dies, no one even said his name once after that, no "IRONHIDE NO!" "Ironhide why" nothing to remember him by. Also with Megs and Op i hate that fight, Ops just destroys him after he saved his life! 3 more seconds and Ops would of been decapitated. Megs asked for a truce but Op's just slaughter's him, i can understand why but really he just saved him and the planet. Come on! because of those 2 events i gave this movie a 7.5/10 sorry number 1 was the best one.

Like I said on another topic on the film

I loved all the decepticons in DOTM.

Megatron - My second favourite megatron of the 3 in the bay films, he was the sinister megatron that was missing from ROTF, a wrecked broken megatron, who was a shadow echo of his former self, very bitter, his voice was more gritty and disturbing. But megatron was finally feeling the effects of his death in TF1, and his destruction at the hands of prime in ROTF. At the end we saw glimpses of 2007 prime megatron, when he wrecked sentinal. But he was the brains that linked ROTF to DOTM, and the undoing of the decepticons. Prime's surprise attack on megatron with the axe, megs never saw it coming

Sentinal prime - what a badass, he owned prime in this film. I loved how he showed megatron why he made a deal with him, ripping into megatron's half missing head. He crushed anything in his way, and sentinal's fight with prime, we should have got between prime and the fallen which bay put right, for me sentinal stole the show

Shockwave - He had plenty of screen time, more than I expected the way fans were moaning. He was the decepticon that was expected to be, loyal to megatron and it took an army to kill him.

Soundwave - I thought he played his part in the film, trying to get info out of sam when they captured sam's GF. I had no problem with how he was used, sentinal and soundwave were the driving forces behind the decepticon's destruction of chicago, has a broken megatron was on his last legs throughout the film

Starscream - He was probably the most wasted of the decepticons, but he served his purpose. It was a shame he was clumsy in this film when trying to kill sam

Pretty much. I'm 36... And for almost a decade, we thought that the Burton/Schumacher were going to be the best we'd get out of Batman. Stuff changes, and it's changing for this too. Transformers are a REAL franchise now, and not just a toy cartoon. This won't be the last time we see the TFs on the silver screen. Some will be better and some will be worse, but it'll never be over.

But the thing is optimus didn't show hesitation like he normally does. Plus what could megatron do to optimus with half a face? come on Optimus killed him outta anger and we all know it.

I thoroughly enjoyed it, best out of all 3 and a thousand times better than ROTF. Actually, felt this movie was "more calmer/less frenzied" compared to ROTF. In the end, I was somewhat surprised to see Prime destroy Megs, but after looking at his exhausted facial expression, the wanton destruction and human lives lost the Cons' caused, treachery by his own mentor/teacher--all together these reasons made me believe he couldn't risk losing any more innocent lives, and thus made more sense to me.

Also, Nimoy/Cullen interacting were the best parts. The humor/jokes didn't bug me as much as the running balls gag in ROTF. IMHO, I expected this in a Bay movie.

Plus, 1s time viewing a movie in 3-d, crisp and cool, and didn't give me a headache at the end.

Remembering my G1 Lore don't both Optimus and Megatron truly come into their own - after Megatron kills Sentinel Prime ?

In the Context of this Movie Optimus has to have some kind of epithany and Megatron has to be resurrected (maybe as Galvatron) and show no fear or doubt in his own ability and never cowtow to another again (In other words be like G1 Megatron - who might be a fool but he's he's own fool not someone elses)

Megatron goes to kill off Sentinel primarily because Carly convinced him to. Megatron got power hungry and didn't like the thought of seeing himself not being in charge. It just happened to be convenient for Optimus to kill two birds with one stone.

I wonder If Bay can be persuaded to add a scene to the end of the titles of Brains and Wheelie dragging them selves out of the water with Wheelie saying "Oh, My Nuts are gonna rust"

That would compensate for the down-beat ending somewhat.

Personally I loved it. It's not exactly Oscar worthy, but as summer movies go it's certainly very good. The whole plot is a little thin in places, but that's expected when you're dealing with giant alien robots. As for action, the whole movie is one big giant explosion, with Autobots, Decepticons and humans blasting everything in sight. The 3D effect works really well, and I actually flinched once when I saw Laserbeak lunge at the screen.

As usual, the special effects are amazing, and should net DOTM a technical Oscar this year. One scene that really impressed me was the close-up of Sideswipe's face when he and Ironhide were fighting the SUV Decepticons (AKA the Dreads). All the little details are visable, if only for a few seconds, and I bet that if you paused the movie at that part you could find small scratches, nicks and dent's in his armor.

I really like how Sentinal Prime was handled. He may have sided with Megatron, yes, but it seemed to me like he was more concerned about Cybertron and the future of his race then ruling over the cosmos. However, that's no excuse for trying to enslave mankind, and Optimus gave him what he deserved.

I do have two complaints. For one, the previews and trailers all seemed to indicate that Shockwave was the main villan, yet in the film he is nothing more then a minor character. Not only that, but he seems to have a giant tentacle monster as a pet. I mean, WTF? Whoever designed that thing was either on something he shouldn't be or off something he should be. Either way, I've got bad hentei images in my head.

Overall, Dark of the Moon earns a 8 out of 10 from me. There are a few things that could have been improved, but as a whole the movie is enjoyable and fun. It's action-packed, has a really sweet love story and the ending is a fitting conclusion to the live-action movie trilogy.

I think it was pretty silly that the lines they were given as the ship plummeted into the shallow Chicago river were akin to "It's been nice knowin' ya" and "We dead" because to me it didn't look like they would have died in that crash. Other board members, in the week leading up to the release, were making it sound like the ship went down and exploded into nothingness. In reality the ship lazily jack-knifed in the river. I don't think the impact was hard-enough to kill anybody, except for those standing beneath it.
