I picked him up yesterday and I must say he is a great little toy. The robot mode is not very accurate but the truck mode looks really good. I think he makes a great little desk toy and is really fun to fiddle with.

Fantastic mini-Prime. Nice vehicle mode, very not bad robot mode, and he's just so posable and fun. He looks excellent with Sideswipe's gun.

That looks great! The loads of plain gray are about the only think I don't love about this figure. You did an excellent job there and it really highlights all of the really nice but easily overlooked detail he's got.

I've been digging this figure even more lately. The headsculpt is really impressive and I like the articulation. The blue flaps kind of bugged me at first since they look like some sort of Duplo piece. Lately I've been folding them down and imagining they are supposed the be the blue panels you find on the shoulders of the Leader and Battle Blades versions. I've nearly tricked by brain into perceiving them this way.

I don't mind the flaps themselves, but on mine the left one can point straight up, but the right doesn't. >:I

If you look at the sculpted detailing on the flaps they have the triangular shoulder pauldron detail on it. I imagine when Ii paint mine it'll look better than just blue.

They are a tad smaller, but I think the price has gone down, though it probably depends on the retailer and region you are in. I haven't paid over 20 for a voyager, or 10 for a deluxe, and for a while voyagers were 22 and deluxes were 13 around here. So I don't mind the smaller size as the price has gone down as well.

Just finished transforming mine today, and I'm really impressed with this figure for a Deluxe ! It looks far more screen accurate than the DOTM Voyager figure, and the paint apps are really good. Transformation was really easy, so it's great for kids, and the truck mode looks awesome ! The only negatives are the large backpack and the exhaust stacks are trimmed down compared to the photos on the packaging. For a deluxe, I give it a 9/10.

Ths toy is amazing. Better truck and robot mode than the Voyager or the supreme. Painted like they meant it. Awesome lil' athletic look to the sculpt. A new enough transformation. And a backpack that is 1000 times less obtrusive than expected. For $10.

DOTM is a strange one. There are probably around 5 toys I don't hate...but the good ones are so freakin' fantastic.

After seeing how people have painted these things, I'm really surprised how accurate it actually is...At least in the individual details. But it does come together to form a sillohette totally different to the CGI.

This, that, and the other thing. What a fun deluxe! Glad I grabbed one.
Just noticed the tabs that hook his shoulders to the cab pass for side mirrors. That's kinda neat.

WHOA good job man! Looks great! The main thing that peeves me for this figure are lack of swords(could've had plugged into the mechtech ports on his forearms), and the fact that there is no ankle swivels but rather, a swivel at the midway point for the feet..which looks cool but makes the figure hard to balance.

Looking at this more, the Takara Mechtech Voyager version with the trailer guns should have come with this version instead of that gun/axe

I got one today Liking him so far.

He's like a slightly longer thinner Transcanning Prime, may add a little paint to his details but in general he's quite well painted he's got bot gold underspray & the flames and a silver painted grill for example.

I think with a little extra thought they could have used the feet to fill in the gap in the back of the truck mode though. perhaps someone could make a part on shapeways that fits in the gap in the back and turns into something useful. like a reversible hinge with a mechtech port and swing out bar for mounting guns on in vehicle mode. that might also be able to fill in his back kibble a little in robot mode and provide a nice Predator style shoulder mount for weapons - would also benefit from some swords and a Movie accurate gun or ROTF style twin pistols too.

Overall I like him a lot and can see him being a favourite for many years I like him enough to want a Nemesis or Nightwatch colour one too or own with his own little wing backpack.

Like the Cyberverse Playsets he also feels like he's made of a quite low grade plastic though.

I went to walmart today and I don't go there that much. So I thought that it would not hurt to pick him up. I like this version look alot better than the u.s voyager version and I can't afford ultimate and any takara version so this is the next best thing. His transformation can be used for a cyberverse toy (can be a good or bad thing depends on your opinion). Robot mode ok and truck looks great for a deluxe. If you don't like big toys and dislike the voyager pick this guy up he is not that bad but far from a masterpiece.

A recommended figure - fun, not too complicated, great alt mode, solid deluxe. I may have to pick up a second one...
