I got this guy. He's a giant fanservice on the part of Hasbro. They didn't have to make his arms turn into the under-wing stuff... but they did. They didn't have to give him his G1 head, but they did. Although the transformation necessitated the wings be on the arms rather than the shoulders, they gave him "tall" shoulders anyway.

He's a CHUG figure in a DotM box. Hi-five hasbro. I like him more than the Ultra-sized one.

Yeah the Torso tabs don't really work with the tabs being to short to hold the shoulders down.

He's cute though - I expect anyone who paid full price for him might feel a little ripped off though.

mine has kind of loose hip joints (though not to the "floppy" stage yet) & right torso doesn't peg in that tight, but IMHO he's a great modern version of one of my favorite G1 characters & toys & fun to have.

note I wasn't expecting such a small figure to have that complex a transformation as this guy does

If by full price, you mean retail?....I don't feel ripped off.

While I personally am still planning on picking up the Walmart red Ultra version of PG because I do prefer the big one for my Classics, the Cyberverse incarnation is a decent enough stand-in for now. Overall, he's a decent buy and good if you need another dose of plastic crack; transformation is easy but involved enough to be fun and articulation is on par with some of the best ROTF Scouts. I DO have issues with the guns, though. In alt. mode, it feels like I'm forcing the plastic in the missiles a little too hard to tab into place, or even when I'm trying to fold in one of the missiles the plastic seems to put too much friction on itself. The combined "missile gun" also looks totally stupid, it's much better to have PG dual wield the missile parts instead.

I got Powerglide (And Blackout) in the Tesco sale a much better buy at £5 than he is at £8 or £9 considering Legions (legends) are "Supposed" to be £5 ($7.5ish) each I don't think I'm going to pay that for a Barricade repaint so when they went down to £3 that made them an better buy too just as £5 for a Commander makes them something you'd be more happy overlooking the tolerance issues on the joints at £5 than £9.

So a sale price is a big issue against buyers regret on these it compensates for them being more money than a Scout was but 1/3rd smaller if they are obtainable for less money than scouts once were £6.99/£7.99.

As otherwise I'd be feeling I was getting pretty poor value for money for such tiny fellas. I don't really see £5 as a sale price more like what they are actually worth as a RSP.

Though in the case of Ironhide he's still bordering on being to expensive even at £5 since he's the smallest of them all and one of the most flimsy too. I do consider Powerglide a better toy than Ironhide & Optimus and probably better than Megatron too. But I prefer Blackout over Powerglide.

They can certainly pack a lot into a little figure, can't they? Even little flip-out landing gear. Amazed they even had the hands fold away, although I'm not really fond of pin hinges on such small parts. Actually concerned about the hands breaking when clipping the gun in and out.

Anyway, a nice representation of the G1 guy. Could do with being bigger. Maybe we'll get an oversized knock-off.

why couldnt they have just done one like the maketoys version? i think hasbro needs some new designers. they have lost their vision. 3rd party stuff is starting to eclipse everything hastak has been pumping out. what a shame too.
quickly lossing interest in TFs and their new design.

Huh....see...thats wierd..because see...Im a Mainline transformer buyer...really since movie 1. Ive bought thousands of dollars worth of TFs in the past few years...

AND NOT ONE SINGLE 3rd PARTY ITEM...

I think Hasbro is doing JUST fine...Let the 3rd party keepdoing what they are doing, because they make some VERY happy. I dont buy 3rd party stuff. I like some of the stuff I see, but Im just not that into it...some of the prices for the stuff I like are rediculous..to me at least...

Hasbro puts out ONE HELL OF A QUALITY PRODUCT for the money...to where I would direct you to the thread about people thinking a $10 or $20 deluxe or voyager is too much money with everything that goes into it..

And Hasbro...the design team is doin a great job except my leader ironhide QC issues...Other than that,:thumbs2:

of course that was just my opinion on the the direction they are taking. i for one do not like anything movie verse even prime or BB; especially megatron. there a few cool figs out there, but for the most part, classics is where its at for me. and this this little fig (which i just went out and bought btw), could have been so much better. hell, i could design a better fig than this should i be so inclined to do so. its not hard to redo the G1 minibot powerglide to a modern articulated version, trust me, its not hard.

Sorry, but this makes me lol.

Personally I'm quite happy with Powerglide as is. It's different enough from the original to make him interesting yet keeps enough aspects to make him recognizable as PG (heck even my wife recognized him when I brought him out the other day).

Because G1 isn't all Transformers is about? I'd stop collecting if G1 fanboys got their way and EVERYTHING was G1. What ever happened to redesigns? What happened to just homaging a character but also being free to do something NEW?

G1 Powerglide looks AWFUL. You'll never see one in my collection...ever. That's why I'm so happy about this Powerglide. It's perfect for me. It's clearly Powerglide unless you're blind, but it's also a design that's new and exciting.

I just don't get this fandom sometimes.

I like the figure, I like the updated look. While he's clearly got the Movie/Generations aesthetic, he resides in with and looks great next to my Classics styled Legends figures.

I recommend this guy for sure.

So you don't like movie designs, you bought a toy from the movie line with a clear movie aesthetic, and you don't like it because it has a movie aesthetic? :sly:

Anyway, love this little guy, looks great with my other legends Autobot jets. Makes a nice rival for Blackout. :)

Just got him! He's the first lone Cyberverse figure I've gotten. (I got the ark, the playsets, and the IH/LF 2-pack.) They were having a $1 off sale at Target on them :)  I was hoping to find Hatchet but it was just PG, Sentinel, Optimus, and Megatron for commander class.

I like his design, articulation, weapons, stability... my only complaint is his sides don't peg in very well in robot mode. Otherwise, this guy's great! Even deploying landing gear for such a small toy, wow!

You should run back to Target because not only is it $1 off, they are BOGO free this week so you could grab a 2nd for $0.00! Two for $7 basically, but you wouldn't know until you ring up the second figure.

I found one at Target over the weekend and _almost_ grabbe him because of the deal. But I just couldn't.

Why? I can't afford to get into another size class/line. I really can't as much as this little dude rings my g1 nostalgia bell.

I saw a note about getting a free figure, but it said you had to buy a TF, a Spider-Man figure, a Beyblade toy, AND something else I can't remember now. I wouldn't have minded getting a Spider-Man, but I didn't want to get the other things.
