How has Hasbro not done this? Not that I really think this mold is the perfect updated representation of Scorponok or anything, but it just seems so obvious. So... so obvious.

On another note, painting this guy wasn't very much fun, but I soldiered through. I think I'm finding that I don't like painting, I just like seeing things painted. Anywho, no changes to him other than the paint. Definitely inspired by Spurts version.

I was always on the fence about buying this mold during the Energon days just because it looked like a pastel nightmare. It's amazing what a new coat of paint can do for a figure. You did a great job on this and if Hasbro ever takes notice from great artists like yourself and the fandom I'm sure it would be a slam dunk in deciding to buy this mold.

Nicely done man, I've wondered the same things about Hasbro. I hope to get around to doing one myself someday. I'm of the same mindset about painting as you are :) . Love the pic with Hot Rod, just re-read "Maximum Dinobots" last week.

I wouldn't mind a repaint as well. I just wish that Headrobots would make an upgrade kit to make him a headmaster.

Great Paintjob! I am working on my own variation of Scorponok/Black Zarak. This is something to keep in mind when I do! Keep up the great work!

How big is this Scorponok? Is he comparable to WST Fortress Maximus?

He's about 7.5" tall at the head, and about 11" at the tail, so he's pretty big. I don't have any wst figures though, so I can't really speak to that
