I am a loyal fan of the Transformers franchise, and have been collecting from its toy lines my entire life pretty much, including the TF3 line.

I think it's obvious by now that the new movie coming out next week will be amazing, going by all the positive feedback it's getting from some critics, that is.

What I don't know about, is whether or not I want to see it in 3-D. Money is not the problem here, if you're wondering. I simply don't know which would give a better all-around viewing pleasure.

I may go see it more than once, but if I only end up going one time, which viewing option would you recommend most, in your experience/opinion?

Vote in the poll if you'd like, but comments are encouraged!

    Thanks.

I'd say 3D, if only because its shot in 3D and not post converted like some other movies.

I'd wait to see what the first impressions are about the 3D personally, mind you as the 3D effect doesn't work on me (one short sighted eye and one long sighted, means the illusion of 3D doesn't quite jazz, instead it makes me queasy).

I saw Avatar & Trex on Imax 3D, I highly recommend it.

After watching Tf films several times on IMAX, it only makes me wonder how much more great it will be now since Mr. Bay got his hands on 3D cameras.

Bay has made this movie for a 3D experience, and since money is not your problem than the chances of a good movie experience is through the roof. :thumb .

He has point. Not everybody can see 3D. If all theaters converted into 3D a lot of people would be discriminated.

Also 3D is fad scam to charge movie goers more money.

Thanks for the complement! Your avatar is awesome.

And thank you, also, to the rest of you for your opinions!

I have a feeling I'll probably enjoy the regular more, since it lets you focus more easily on the movie I suppose, plus less of a headache, but the 3-D hype has intrigued me, therefore I shall try it out.

Normally, I'd say just stick with the 2D, but seeing as how Bay is doing this CORRECTLY and shot it with 3D cameras, I think it'll look super sexy with the 3D.

I'm not a big fan of 3D and would normally say to just stick with 2D if it were another movie, but even I'm doing this one in 3D.

Well, I've been a naysayer about 3D since it relaunched via Avatar and have had no interest to see any movies in that format. Until now. For as much as I don't necessarily like Bay as a director, I have always said that I think he is an amazing cinematographer. So given his great eye for angles and the way he lays out shots combined with slowing down his normal hectic (aka shaky cam) speed because he's utilizing 3D, I really do think TF3 will set a new standard in how it's done and I have no doubts that it will trump Avatar.

I was going for 2D but seeing as everyone is saying 3D is epic, i changed my mind to 3D. Plus I'll be seeing it again 2D on bluray or when i download it so..better to watch the best quality first!!

I'm seeing it in 3D, no doubt. Especially with all the hype about it apparently being just as good as Avatar or something.

And think about it. You only have the time while it's in theater to see the movie in 3D. You have all the time you want to see it in 2D when the DVD comes out. And 3D also isn't as uncomfortable as it used to be. I saw Cars 2 in 3D today and it was completely comfortable with no eye strain or headaches at all.

This is coming from a guy who gets headaches all the damn time and rarely sees 3D movies, and has to wear the silly 3D glasses over regular glasses. If price isn't an issue, just go for 3D, it's not like it'll hurt the movie.

This movie was made for 3D. Watching it in 2D is doing yourself a disservice.
3D is definitely a gimmick and 99% of the movies are not worth watching in 3D, but this one is.

If you will watch the 2D version first I fear you might not be wowed anymore by the 3D version, since you already know what scenes to expect.

Fake stereoscopic 3D was a gimmick lame useless thing on Avatar even more than other 3D movies. Watching movies with this 3D technology is just a way to get blind quicker than possible. Studios and multinationals don't care about people health. Stereoscopic 3D is a fraud and should be banned. It's dangerous for human health, it damages people eyes.

Well, I'm not sure what movies you have been watching lately, but to me it looks like something damaged your brain.
